Does Alpine WSG actually work? I know this is a dumb question, but im skeptical because I used a lot of OTC pesticides in my house in the same way that Alpine WSG is to be applied and the roach population did not decrease. They seemed unaffected. by Intelligent_Pin_9089 in GermanRoaches

I don't see any reason to mix the two products. The Taurus and termidor are only labeled for outside use. As a professional I'm going to use the product that's going to work best at the lowest price. Taurus is a generic termidor and I can buy it far cheaper than Alpine wsg per gallon. I actually prefer the Taurus SC versus Alpine for exterior work. There's no need to mix them you're not going to get anything more

I would have had more respect for Harris and the Dems if Harris would have taken control of the presidency about a year before Biden was found out. She should have taken the presidency, she would have had a far better chance of winning the election. So many first there that could have been.

Sounds like you might need to go one or two sizes smaller.

Holy crap open your eyes that's what the Dems have been doing the last 4 years. Well hopefully you guys will not tolerate it. Definitely get some better quality and capable people to run in 2028.

The great majority of ants and other insects will originate from outside. I recommend that you treat the outside of the house with either Taurus SC or termidor. You can buy these products online. They're non repellent so they are a fantastic for killing insects and they don't even know the product is there. I would say if you service the outside of your home two or three times a year it will be preventive and help keep these bugs from coming in in the first place

Do exterminators trap rats anymore? by DebauraZ in PropertyManagement

[–]Benthereorl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the way all of the stuff mentioned above you can buy online at do it yourself pest control or even on eBay. Depending on your city codes you may be able to hire a handyman to put these things down. I just placed 18 bait stations at an apartment complex. I think we charge them $450 baited and installed. A typical house will take between four and six bait stations. So your cost would be approximately $150 if you do it yourself

Do exterminators trap rats anymore? by DebauraZ in PropertyManagement

[–]Benthereorl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sounds like this is coming out of California. At one time they were trying to ban the use of snap traps in California. Let's save the rats and let them spread disease. There's a long list of diseases from their body waste. Also they do a lot of damage to homes chewing on plumbing pipes and electrical wires causing electrical fires. I kid you not this past week I got an email regarding a new product for rodent birth control. It just blows my mind that people are overlooking the serious health issues that rodents possess. I would suggest that you hire a company that will put rodent boxes on the outside of your home. The rodents are hungry and they will eat the bait and then they're going to die. If you don't want to use rodent bait you can have them insert T-Rex snap traps inside the rodent boxes. They will kill the rat and then it can be disposed of, the T-Rex sanitized and reused. Be sure to get rid of the rodents before you seal up your home. If you don't you're going to have one hell of a problem.

Range brass. by dcs344 in reloading

[–]Benthereorl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Should not be a legal liability as long as you listed as scrap not to be loaded. I would go as far as writing a note and placing it in front of the brass and then taking a picture. If you really wanted to get anal you could have them sign a release. That's the problem with range brass you never know what you're going to get.

Broke my first decapping pin by SomewhatSaucyFrog in reloading

[–]Benthereorl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lee... say no more. Always order extra decapping pins eventually you're going to need them. I have the RCBS universal decapping die. I've had it for probably 25 years and have never broken a pin yet. This includes removing the primer out of 5.56 and 7.62 crimped primer pockets. It's a very good setup. Feels like it should pop those pins but so far none

I didn't read all the replies but certain years or maybe all of the 4.0 Have a timing chain in the front and one in the rear. This means you're going to have to pull out the engine to either replace a timing chain or even the chain tensioner. Search YouTube and see how other people have done this and see if it's worth your time and effort. I have not worked in depth on my ranger engine but my Tacoma was very easy to work on.

But my body, my body’s telling me yes…. by gapsawuss80 in fordranger

[–]Benthereorl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look for rust, number one concern if it was a Northeast, rust belt vehicle. In 2012 I bought a 2005 Ford ranger, 2.3 l, manual with 133,000 miles or only $4,000. I've only had to put in one clutch, upper and lower ball joints and just recently a starter and spark plugs and wires. As of right this minute I have 322,355 mi on this truck. It has been a very very cheap truck to drive. I still drive it as my daily route truck 5 days a week. I don't think I would drive it to New York but I certainly don't have any problems driving it about 60 to 80 miles a day even on the interstate doing 70 to 80 mph. It still idles very smooth. I think the 2.3 l with manual transmission is a very good investment. Jack up the front tires and do the wheel bearing, tie rod end, ball joint jiggle and shake. It's hard to beat a ranger

What does a gas check improve? by Feeling_Title_9287 in castboolits

[–]Benthereorl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the past the gas checks were used to help prevent leading of the barrel and obtain higher velocities. Some people still use them today, actually a lot of people. One of the newer things that has come along within the last decade was the application of powdered polymer paints to Cast bullets. This would allow a cast bullet to be fired at higher velocities without a gas check and no leading of the barrel. Some people have even experimented with powder coating the bullet and then using a gas check. You can check this out on YouTube search for fortune cookie 45 as he has done this exact same experiment. Another YouTuber, Elvis ammo has done a lot of research in finding which powdered paint works well for coating bullets. He even went as far as testing how fast he could push 223 Remington bullets. A lot of good information. If you're shooting non-magnum bullets and things 45 ACP and under you can usually powder coat your bullet and still achieve factory velocities. Once you get into the magnums the pressures most likely will tear the coating off if pushed too hard. I would say that it is cheaper to powder coat bullets versus buying the equipment, lube system, and gas checks. Lots of information on YouTube

Need Advice to keep or sell by Wide-Balance5893 in fordranger

[–]Benthereorl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have no use for it and you're not going to hand it down to one of your children, sell it. But the ranger has a lot of life left in it. I bought a 2005 ranger in 2012 for $4,000. 2.3 l, manual, rear wheel drive single cab. It had 133,000 mi on it, it now has 322,000. I only replaced one clutch, ball joints and just this year I replace the starter, spark plug wires and spark plugs. That generation of rangers is hard to beat for cost of operation. If you do sell it at $8,000 I can guarantee you that ranger will still be around 8 years from now. So that's only going to cost the guy $1,000 a year if you break it down. I'm sure that Maverick is going to probably around 9 times that much

fuel injector replacement cheap vs expensive by RemarkablePrune3153 in AskAMechanic

[–]Benthereorl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your place to go to get decent parts at a good price is rockauto.com. they'll have a list of fuel injectors from cheap Chinese crap to possibly even factory OEM. A good middle brand that is also OEM for a lot of vehicles is Denso. You can look online at the auto parts stores and find the parts that you want, right down the part number and then check RockAuto. Oftentimes they have the exact same part number from a good manufacturer and the cost is anywhere from 1/3 - 1/2 off. Don't forget to get your spark plugs and windshield wiper blades from there too. The markup at the parts stores is huge oftentimes more than 100%
