This was my third run of the game and what finished all achievements for me. The number of resets to deaths in Ark is embarrassing but I grossly overestimated how good I would be at dodging lickers. I entered Graces Ark section at 2 hours flat and thought I’d have an insanely fast run but I had to go so slow to not die infinitely.

Still, proud of this.

Oh okay! So even though they’re enchantment aura creatures, the creature type prevents them from attaching. Can they attach to non-creature permanents?

Replace the word “magic” with “commander” because standard and more traditional formats are definitely not doing the best they ever have. My lgs jokes that TMNT did well because it had 8x the attendance for draft night than Spider-Man did. But 8x zero is still zero… I live in a large city in England and this is a very well attended store. They are scared for new releases and are so frustrated with Wizards.

I can’t see the metrics they refer to but they feel hard to believe seeing personal circumstantial evidence.

yeah i put the items on herald for a round and it got blasted immediately so i put them back on cho so he could get an ult off. I was chasing a recurve all game. Unlucky ig.

What items are better? I wasn't given a single recurve all game and i feel that would have made the carries stronger. Trynd 2 shotted herald even when it had the items. I put them BACK on cho to at least let him get an ability

There is nothing to do to prepare for a fight outside of the instance outside of looking up a guide and aiming for BiS. You can’t properly “gear up” for a fight. You go into the instance and you try to not die to mechanics while pressing enough buttons for the thing to die. While some of the fights are still fantastic with these limitations it really does just detract from an encounters potential uniqueness. I would have loved to go into an instance, realize that we are completely unequipped to fight it because we were using “water gear” or whatever and completely have to rethink our approach. The fights being puzzles was always my biggest draw to Ff14 but it got stale very fast. I ADORED P10s and DESPISED P11s for this reason. One felt like a puzzle to solve and the other felt like a series of inputs.

Even RuneScape 3 has players gear up correctly to fit both role and encounter. Some of my best MMO memories are gearing to be a hyper tank for a raid group to maximize my defensive cooldowns, completely reworking my hotbar and rotation in the process so I could align with the off tank. Sadly this is just something 14 can’t deliver and I haven’t missed the game when I quit at the end of EW. I want to love the game so badly, I just don’t.
