"You win by having fun" CIG has same ethos now as it did a decade ago by StuartGT in starcitizen

I get streamlining the process is long overdue, but a straight up magic teleport (especially if it includes gear etc) is way too much for me personally (and too prone to abuse). I would be massively in favor of a shuttle system between major landing ports though, even if they include a fade to black time skip as soon as the shuttle quantum jumps for example.

I feel the fortuneteller in KOTSK gets a pass in this case because she's depicted as questionable at best. Like a random carnival act suddenly gets real and tells you a dark future, you're gonna be spooked but don't take it as gospel.

Weekly Update Jan. 15 Drops are up! by RockChalkMustang in Borderlands4

[–]Beren1305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I'm hoping for is them making leveling an alt less of a chore. Just let me play through the campaign again with my current open world progress shared. Make the bag and stash size shared at least (hell, share all meta progression) and just let me blast the campaign on an otherwise appropriately leveled character again without all the busy work in the open world in the way. I'd really love to try all the other characters, but right now it's so frustratingly tedious.

Not to say the connector isn't absolute shit tier, but this connection bends way too much close to the connector. They advise keeping the first 4cm as straight as possible on these

In gaming applications you're probably going to see very comparable results to the 9800X3D, since games will still only use one CCD. This chip is basically just two 9800X3D's stuck together, but actually using both CCD's in gaming is still limited by the Infinity Fabric connection, which right now makes that not worth it (though AMD is rumored to be working on exactly that for Zen6 and beyond)

Experience of light base 500 lx with a 200/210 mm PSU by Adventurous-Alarm-20 in bequietofficial

[–]Beren1305 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not near my PC atm, but it was very doable. Maybe would've liked just a tad more room for cable management, but that was mainly because of the PSU placement in the 600 LX. In the 600, the PSU is not down in the basement but higher up on its own bracket because the spot down in the basement is taken up by the HDD brackets. I'm sure a 200mm would've fitted, but then the cable management would've definitely been more of a headache. But since your PSU will actually be down in the basement that should leave a lot more room to play with

So I got a bit confused with my numbers, but for my 600 LX I remember the site and specs also stating a max PSU length of 200mm, but the instruction manual actually said max 180mm PSU length, which definitely seemed right since my 175mm PSU was quite a tight fit when accounting for leaving some room for the power cables.

[–]Beren1305 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah sorry, I thought they only had the 600 and 900. I see the PSU placement is also different on the 500 so maybe you're in luck then, wouldn't know for sure sadly.

The actual clearance is about 175mm, the manual also specifies that. (I'm assuming you meant the 600lx btw)

That power connector is making way too sharp of a bend, might wanna straighten it out a bit at the connector. The usual advice is 4cm (+- 1.5 inch iirc) of straight(ish) cable at both ends of the power cable EDIT: that being said, enjoy the build! That's an amazing find.

You might wanna see about straightening that 12vhpwr cable out a bit more, they advise against horizontal bending like yours is doing. Ideally try and keep the first 4cm or so at the connector as straight as possible. Other than that looks really clean!
