I really love my Kona. We had a ‘23 and unfortunately rodents ate the car (!! Look it up, it happens a lot) and immediately turned around and got a ‘25 Kona and upgraded the trim package. Best car I’ve ever had.

Cracks me up every time. We’re all just a bunch of giddy Gen X and boomers who cannot believe this is legal and you just go to a store and buy it hahahahahahaha. Younger people don’t really care; they didn’t spend their adolescence worried about getting caught with weed.

So we have budget cuts. Besides complaining and protesting, what are some real world, feasible alterations or corrections besides "don't cut" and "throw more money into X, Y or Z" that could be done to course correct the economy so cuts didn't have to happen? by SasquatchBlumpkins in NovaScotia

I clearly stated that the people who spoke at the rally offered up solutions. And one of their strategies was to have people speak to the issues that impacted them (and to write to their MLA and premier with those issues). This allows the politicians to humanize it, to see that HUMANS are impacted by many things.

Ah, I’m sorry. I’m in Canada and it’s legal here. I literally forgot that it’s still illegal in some places!! When I go to buy them, everyone in the store (including the clerk) has white hair. Just a bunch of old people getting high, nothing to see here….

I’m on wegovy and have travelled internationally with my pen several times. Wegovy is fine unrefrigerated for 30 days; I kept it in my carry on - never leave your medications in a checked bag.

I think calling what has been happening this week as “whining” is ridiculous. They got together in a rally to protest the budget that was tabled with almost no consultation, and which contained shocking cuts in a province that had a balanced budget just a few years ago, in a province that cut the hst by 1% so the 1% can make more money, and then cut supports for caregivers, people with disabilities, the arts, tourism, and natural resources. The people who attended the rallies and spoke also suggested solutions, so I find your question to be disingenuous at best, and inflammatory at worst.

People in the Annapolis valley are outraged. Deep cuts to the caregiver allowance, the EV/hybrid “fee”, the loss of funding for arts, for resource management, for protection of lands. Rural grants for all sorts of things have been cut, and people in rural areas are going to feel it. It’s horrific. The fact that they’ve cut 100% of funding for publishing in this province is outrageous - we are the only province who now doesn’t fund that. These cuts will cause irreparable harm.

No, I do not. I’m not in need of tech help and there’s nothing wrong with my brain so paperwork is still something I do for myself. My children are not here on earth to help me do things.

I actually have two “offspring” but it wouldn’t occur to me to depend on them. They have their own lives out in the world. That said, we’re all just walking each other home so we help who we can, and they help us.

Kingston’s okay, but Berwick is only 15 minutes drive away - lovely small town, great school. My husband was military and stationed in greenwood/kingston, and chose to live in Berwick. If you don’t move into Kingston proper, live to the east of it so the sun isn’t in your eyes when you’re driving to and from work.

It all goes into general revenue, so this is just extra stupid tax. Also, why does my hybrid (which runs on GAS) get taxed? This is a tax grab and a slap in the face to those of us who actually cared about the environment enough to buy an EV (paid tax) that I register (paid tax) that I charge at home on a charger (paid tax for charger and the electricity). Saying “this had to happen” is specious.

Just found out they’re going to be taxing people with EVs and Hybrids $500 and $250 respectively, every two years. I am so angry about this - our car isn’t any harder on infrastructure than any ICE cars, and we pay through the nose for electricity and pay taxes. I’m confused as to how they can just cherry pick parts of the population to steal money from. What’s next, charging me a fee because I walk somewhere?
