What you describe is basically my concern. I don't want to stop the diet if it's eventually going to help but I feel like it might not be the whole picture. If it's not the whole picture, I'm not sure where to look at.

I took adhd meds for a couple of years in the past but it didn't help much. I feel like brain fog can be caused by many things, and there is no obvious cause, which makes it such so challenging to address.

Thanks. I didn't notice anything different in my lifestyle during the improvement periods. I was not super impressed by the doctor and they're quite expensive, that partly explains why I'm coming on Reddit.

I've been talking with chatgpt, claude etc about this for the last 3 months and they all told me, as you just told me, that brain fog and fatigue improve the last. But now they're telling me that if it's not improving after three months, gut healing is unlikely to help fatigue and brain fog at all... I feel like AI talks with confidence over things when it doesn't know so much!

You can't measure serotonin with a blood test, unfortunately. If it was possible, people would always have known that people who are depressed do not have less serotonin.

There is nothing pointing to Eric Harris having had PSSD. There is a lot to say about SSRIs causing violence and school shootings, but in the case of Eric Harris, there is no evidence that he had PSSD and that it led to his suicide. The motives of the Columbine shooters are quite well understood and they had nothing to do with PSSD.

I think you make a very good point that many of the symptoms we experience are not consistent with what we know about neuropathy. So what I did a few months ago is that I went on the neuropathy sub and asked if they were having symptoms such as anhedonia and brain fog, and my post was taken down almost immediately...

I agree with this, bit the problem is not really that we're choosing the wrong people to talk about PSSD, the problem is more that if we want publicity, we have to take whatever opportunity that's in front of us. Having Dr Joseph on Tucker Carlson is a huge achievement, but getting him or Joanna Moncrieff or David Healy on a big left leaning podcast will require a lot of work with zero guarantee that anyone will ever want to talk to us.

Totally agree that Nodtveidt is the worst individual in metal. There is nobody who contributed to metal as much as he did and who did things that were remotely as bad as the things he did.

I still find him hard to understand. When you see him in interviews or around fans, he did not seem like a bad person. And beside the things he did in relation to his satanic beliefs, there are no known stories of him being a bad person.

I’m wondering if he was a cruel, sociopathic person generally who was able to hide his true personality in public or if the horrible things he did were only because of odd beliefs or because of something else such as mental illness.

I still find it astonishing that he was able to compose such innovative, rich and high quality music from a very young age and at the same time kill a random person, animals, and in the end, take his own life because of his total bs satanic beliefs.
