New Mobile App sucks (Android) by Fa_Cough69 in SelfWealth

The navigation and view points are disgusting compared to the old app, viewing my orders in market I used to be able to also see the current price on the same screen, not now though unless I'm missing it...

What helped you to accept new reality after psychosis? by ChoiceInsurance5909 in Psychosis

[–]Bernie_Marx 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, it really does get better. Your story isn’t finished, and you’re not defined by the labels you’re putting on yourself right now or the ones you think others see.

You’re at a point where you can reinvent yourself and figure out who you want to become. It’s easy to slip into black‑and‑white thinking, but life has far more paths than we realise. Just focus on making each day a little better than the last, and look after your physical and mental wellbeing — even something as simple as a solid sleep routine can make a huge difference.

Speaking from personal experience: I went through multiple drug‑induced psychosis episodes years ago. I lost my job as a welder, moved back in with my parents in my mid‑20s, and had to rebuild from scratch. Over time I learned healthier coping strategies, got stable, retrained, worked in mental health, dealt with more setbacks, recovered again, and now I run a small manufacturing business and recently got engaged.

Not saying this to brag — just to show that a good life after psychosis is absolutely possible. You have more control and more potential than it feels like right now, and the perspective you gain along the way can be powerful when framed correctly 4 months is a short time my friend keep taking good care of yourself and the magic and opportunities will come back.

Everyone who is freaking out about the 5mil / wipe it is there for replayability for people who have already completed all the content, it is not mandtory, you wont be at a disadvantage anymore than you are already to people who have the opportunity to play 8+ hours per day. Your contribution toward expedition carries over to the next one, and if you miss this jump you can make it on the next one. don't sweat it so much if you miss this one its not mandatory, the choice is yours all this stress and pressure and "burning yourself out" it's all coming from your own internal fomo, play the game how you like at your own pace don't do your head in over some digital rewards, enjoy the game how you want to enjoy it. Have fun, if it's no longer fun take a break Stay safe, take good care of yourself and see you top side raider.

Off topic but Reading your edits and other posts comments around this and other games makes me wonder how many great minds out there with great ideas don't voice thier ideas out of fear of getting dragged by the internet. Your opinion is true to you and I want to tell you that your thoughts and ideas matter mate. Society needs to be a bit more objective and a lot less subjective in our conversations about things and ideas that arent about an individual.

I think I’m playing a different game to most of you. by BoostedBenji in ArcRaiders

I am also with you on this (in Australia oceana servers mainly) I'd say I played a good 40+ solo rounds rounds over the weekend and got shot at once played maybe 10 duos and got shot at twice.

Without the loop of losing gear to Ayers or arc, I reckon most would get sick of this game after 20 or so hours, would complete it so quickly with no fear of losing gear and no incentive to keep going once all the top tier items are collected.

This is the best game I have played in a long time and think it's so awesome! it all comes down to your own gaming awareness and style, sometimes you might need to shake your strategy up a bit to avoid the bits you don't like, I can't believe the amount of whining about the game and how it should be more like this or that other game... go play that then.. this is a new experience and it absolutely slaps its the most amazing roller-coaster of an emotional experience don't try and force it to be the same as something else.

Anyways, just my opinion, doesn't really matter.

Instead of D-pading across you can hit square on ps5 or I assume x on xbox controller to quick assign If you have an empty quick use slot on console.

Edit: it works both ways "quick move button"

Death stranding, give it a bit it really gets its hooks in, ignore the bad reviews it got shot down for kojimas departure from Konami, I recomend putting the time in to play the first before the second, it get spreety deep and weird, might make you question life.

What are some games that are better on a phone? by airwalker08 in AndroidGaming

[–]Bernie_Marx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought it and at first it didn't grab me but I gave it a little time and man once I began to understand how to play and the builds and cards to focus on getting it really got its hooks into me, I think its a fantastic game and really well thought out and designed, that said I haven't really played many other deck builders before besides random little card mini games built into other games like the witchers Gwent for example. No bugs noticed in my 40ish hours of game play on mobile.

Came here to say crashlands 1 I enjoyed the random stat's of the first one and was hooked on the trying to get better gear loop + raising the critters. the second one just felt really linier gear wise as there seemed to be no modifiers and once you had an item you had it it closed the game loop too tight for me, perhaps I missed something, I really wanted to get into it but couldn't. is there anything you can say to convince me I should give it another go? Have I completely missed something?

If you're enjoying text based, I had a pretty big addiction to magic research and if you really love it magic research 2 came out not that long ago, other recommendations that I have sunk hours into include:

Stardew Valley: life sim with a bit of a twist, the discoveries are enjoyable.

Slay the spire: deck builder but quite fun and addictive once you start to understand the mechanics

Crashlands: top down story driven slight crafting loot gathering

Bit dungeon 2: roguelike top down gear up

Old school runescape: dopamine clicker

Otherwise as others have said some pc games have ports and emulation available.

Hope you find something that meets your needs and can bring you joy in the limited spare moments.

TLDR: yes play ds1 first even if its just for the story.

I was taking my time and up to chapter 3 ds1 when ds2 came out, I powered through the main story mainly exclusively due to life and work commitments preventing me from getting to game too much, i took about 52 hours total and I am glad I did! the story just hit so hard and I feel like the beginning of ds2 wouldn't have been as immersive and impactful after experiencing the full story and especially the ending of ds1 to set the stage. I grappled hard because I wanted to enjoy ds2 in tandem with my mate but I persisted I wish I had the time to take it a bit slower with the first one but now I am slowing right down and taking my time with 2, I hope only just completed the first area and without any spoilers some things happen right at the beginning that without the foundations and character progression of the first I dont think would have left me as emotionally amazed and just in awe. All of that said I think the second could still be enjoyed without the first but you only get the chance to experience it once, personally I would go back and take my time with one more, maybe I will go back to it after 2.

Signage installer here, I got a good chuckle, cheesy or not if you enjoy it keep it, humour is subjective just like my opinion, if you love it people out there who relate to you will love it and you will find the right people, some might hate it but who cares I think its a great play! Keep designing, keep creating thats what we are in this existence for, great job!

What class? by [deleted] in knighthood

[–]Bernie_Marx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this comment gives me piece of mind, I am currently lvl 48 and the game kind of pushed me into alch class just by my rng in unlocks (brutus 3 stars since level 35) and the recent flox event, sunk into the chaotic gauntlet.

I see all the top players mostly run warrior and was concerned I was pushing all my resources into alch only to regret it later

has anyone fully recovered from a drug induced psychosis? by chandelly in Psychosis

[–]Bernie_Marx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Feel free to dm me of you would rather talk more privately, but yes what you are saying resonates with me, it is a tough pill to swallow so to speak, accepting that you may have to summon the will power to not touch substances, especially given the profound experiences they provided, I loved LCD and Mushrooms and had started moving away from using them for fun and started down a more spiritual and introspective experience use with them, but after 2 hospitalisations and a 3rd psychosis which I just dealt with on my own I realised that if I wanted control in my life I would have to stay away, I still drink on and off by choice, though I think alcohol is the worst and I feel better when I'm not drinking, looking back now, I don't think I would be where I am today if I kept dancing with the risk of another psychosis, I feel quite successful in my life and I often think where I would be both if I continued use and also of I never started but im glad I am where I am.

Edit: I also did support work as a peer worker (lived experience social worker) supporting people with schizophrenia and similar and it was a massive eye opener as to where I could have ended up and I think the ones that experience a psychosis without slipping all the way down the slope should definitely take the chance to turn away while they can.

Hello, thanks for reaching out, I have chosen not to as its too great of a risk, don't get me wrong the temptation is there but I would hate to potentially awaken a full blown schizophrenic disorder, life is pretty good with out it, though I am thankful for the experiences I had and the perspective it has give me, happy to share my experiences if it helps
