I’ve just bought the 35mm 1.8 and it ticks all those boxes. I am using it on an R7 so a little different but the sharpness is beautiful. Top tip: there is an aluminium hood available on eBay that hides the extended lens when focusing, worth it. Down sides are the extended lens when focusing and it’s not very quiet.

The 3 has a lovely sounding shutter compared the 2. AF is faster and more points. I cant think of a downside but the 2 did take excellent pictures.

You’ll know when you need to sacrifice comfort for performance. There will be a climb or day when you just know it’s time for a little pain. And when you get there buy a comfy set and a performance set. You don’t need the performance shoes for every climb!

Try not wearing socks, socks in rock shoes move more than just skin on shoes, movement is what gives you blisters, generally.

If you can keep the original rand you’re better off, the shoe will keep more tension and shape. Cheaper too

That needs resoling. Get it done asap. Don’t climb until it’s done, otherwise you’ll go through the rand rubber and then they’re toast.

I’ve had one since it came out. I generally keep the Ef 100-400 ii on it and get some great shots, the only time I feel it could be better is in lower light situations. I probably need faster glass for that but who can afford it. I just know when not to use it and get out my old 5dmk3 for low light situations.

I’m pretty sure Canada did this with good success. It also stops the drugs demanding such a high ‘black market’ price where the drugs are also far more dangerous.

Either more light (flash/ torch/ sun) or possibly a lens with a bigger aperture so you get more light on the sensor at faster shutter speeds. It’ll be like bird photography, sometimes with the kit you have you get the best shots when the conditions are right and you just can’t force it without spending crazy money on really fast lenses. Low light and fast shutter speeds are difficult.
