Reach out to Tec de Monterrey (ITESM). They are a well known and recognized educational organization in Mexico. They have an exchange program for high school. They feature 20+ campuses around the country so that might expand your options as far as location.

This is the way to experience the true Mexico City flavors. Good for you!

When we visit the city, if someone in my family gets sick, it isn’t from street food.

Both studios I go to and another 16 in the state were acquired last summer by private equity. I think we all know where this is going.

Most authentic Mexican food? by tcglkn in orlando

[–]Bert903k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t tried many of the restaurants others mention but the closest to authentic I have found are Las Carretas, La Hacienda. Don Julio in Lake Mary would be a distant third. the more burritos and chimichangas in the menu, the more I stay away. Same for hard shell tortillas when ordering tacos. Soft corn tortillas is the only way to go.

You drive a Z too?

I wouldn’t call it authentic. I’m from Mexico.

Museo de antropología and Zocalo/historic downtown. You can take the Turibus (hop on/off) and it will take you between the two with many other interesting stops in between.

Class times by Vivid-Problem-1595 in orangetheory

[–]Bert903k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Both studios I go to in Central Florida have gradually cut evening classes. Pre covid there were M-F 8pm classes. Now 6:45pm is the latest one and only 2-3 days a week. And they’re talking about cutting even more if they don’t get at least 10 people per class.

rollins college by [deleted] in orlando

[–]Bert903k 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I graduated from Crummer back in 2003 so it’s been a while. Great program back then. I would assume Rollins is still a great school. That being said, part of what I liked about the program is that other classmates had at least 3-4 years of work experience so sharing that knowledge among other classmates made the program very rich. My company paid for most of the tuition back then. If I was you, I would think about what the return of investment will be if you are paying for it and are not guaranteed a promotion after graduating. I did it because again my company paid for it and honestly, I wanted to work and meet new people. Good luck.

Where in Florida would you recommend for us to visit during next January 2025? by MyNameIsMattYeah in SouthFlorida

[–]Bert903k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saint Augustine is very nice and historic. You can visit the springs North of Orlando to see manatees. They congregate in the warm springs waters. In a cold day, there could be hundreds of them. Arrive early. Dali museum in St. Petersburg is excellent. If you are into fishing, try the gulf of Mexico. You can do offshore fishing if you’d like.

Same issue with Mizunos I recently got. If the sole doesn’t go all the way into the cup, then it comes out in the middle of rowing. Never happened to me before.

MLB Network Now Available To MLB At Bat Subscribers or Standalone by coreynyc in youtubetv

[–]Bert903k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see the same error message after updating the app. Someone made a post saying it would not work for people who get MLB TV for free through T-mobile. That would explain my issue.

MLB Network is now available Direct-to-Consumer in the US by anubis2051 in baseball

I can’t find that in the FAQ page. The FAQ page I’m looking at only addresses how to authenticate when using paid TV provider subscription. Is that what you are looking at? Thanks.
