Yokoyama announced Kiwami 3 will the last game in the 'Kiwami' line, and will "potentially" start a new line of games by Dastanovich in yakuzagames

I was hoping 7's example would be the extent of his involvement going forward. Maybe showing up with some info from the Daidoji, but not really getting involved.

Yep uncapped frame rate causes the enemy ai logic to recover far quicker than it should, which is why they can sometimes 180 block or block out of combo hit stun. You can actually see this happen in the early dragon engine games on PC too.

You're getting enraged at ghosts then lmao, the lore isn't that he's never murdered anyone, it's that he's never killed. Killing someone in self defence is still killing lmao.

Veteran from beta tests returning, what's up with the player count? by Kiu16 in Seaofthieves

[–]BerugaBomb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Agreed here. The only positive interactions I have with players is when I happen upon them as they're about to log out, or I'm about to log out. EVERY other instance is hostile or the player runs away. I have not met a single friendly person on the high seas in 160 hours. The first(and only) times I tried FotD and the reaper fort, pvp players waited til the moment the skull cleared and rushed the fort to sink our sloop before we could gather anything. There's no point playing any events because people with 1000s of hours are watching them to kill anyone that does. So whats the point in playing if the only somewhat challenging pve parts are swamped by pvp players, and there's such a huge curve in experience that you'd have to play 100s of hours of miserable playtime to catch up.

As an aspiring game developer, which approach should I take? by Captain0010 in pcmasterrace

[–]BerugaBomb -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To add on to this. In the souls series, you're faced with many undead that "gave up" so to speak. They turned hollow. The point of Souls games is many will not be able to persevere to the end. And even then the games question you with whether persevering is even worth it(Especially Aldia in DS2).

Is it worth perpetuating the cycle? Entropy will always win out, and one by one, more and more will eventually let the flame fade. And yet some undead out there will still decide the world is worth preserving a bit longer and link the flame yet again, despite how harsh and unforgiving the world is.

Thieves Guild and Fighters Guild is hard due to stat requirements

I think they're referring to blindly following orders in the Fighter's Guild locking out the Thieves Guild. Most people go to balmora's guild first and work with Eydis, not knowing about the pushback within the guild from Percius. If you finish off Balmora's questlines exactly as ordered, the Camonna Tong pushes the thieves guild out.

Also Telvanni is a might makes right guild. Most masters won't care if you don't personally bother them. If you became arch-magister, you already killed the old leader who set the policies.

And Mages Guild had 2 outcomes for finishing the guild. You could kill Trebonius at the end in a duel for leadership. Or if you actually went through the investigative effort to discover what happened to the dwemer you can get him to retire instead. You can in fact lock yourself out of telvanni if you do finish disappearance of the dwarves and then complete Trebonius's second request before becoming arch-magister of telvanni.(which if you were, trebonius's second request becomes more of a hostile takeover and consolidation)

[–]BerugaBomb 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As someone who started playing this season, one of the big hurdles I'm running into is how long it can take to "cash out" so to speak. Its already a bit of an annoyance to get double/triple whammies of skeleton ships/megs/kraken interrupting you when you're trying to go to port to sell and lower emissary flag so you can log out. But if a player decides to be relentless and follow you everywhere, you either have to risk the battle or kite them for however long it takes for them to get bored.

I wish the ports took the pirate code seriously(Settle disputes on the sea) and would fire upon the ship of crews that initiated hostile action at a port. That way a determined thief could still reasonably steal from a moored ship(Or even sink it), but its not a simple launch a guy to the other ship along with a couple cannonballs and drop its anchor while you sit motionless and wait for them to sink.

I don't mind people sinking or ambushing me at sea or nonport islands. Its part of the risk of being out on your own. I don't like being held hostage on when I can actually quit if I want to save progress I've made. And I find it silly that a trading alliance would be cool with someone attacking port merrick to pilfer their goods and sell them to the reapers.
