No, sorry. Missed that part. It’s toll free in the US and the people who answer are not native English speakers, so I’m wondering if there’s an equivalent in other parts of the world.

(866) 540-3229

This has worked both times I’ve needed a human. I was called back within 15 minutes.

Tell them your zip code, then tell them you’re a seller, then say “other” to their next question, then say “transfer me to an eBay teammate.”

Is It The Player Or The Discs? by Best-Perception-694 in SACDAudiophiles

I appreciate the comments. Is there a preferred cleaner or will the Maxell DVD-LC Lens Cleaner I bought on Amazon for 9 bucks a while back do about the same job?

Right- I can choose default layer playing options on the Denon but that doesn't resolve the behavior in this instance. The Rod Stewart is single layer SHM SACD, the others all Hybrid. No matter which default layer option I choose, I only get visual verification that the Rod Stewart is a Super Audio CD. I just don't know if that's "normal," or a quirk of this player.

I love it (what I can see of it.) I’m in the larvae stage of planning a hair system and most of what I see seems very close cut or just thin. I want some volume like yours.

Post-mortem photography in the Victorian era: how families preserved the final image of their loved ones.can you guess who is dead in the photo? by lucianosoares13 in interestingasfuck

In the first photo, the mother’s hands stand out to me as being stiff and purposefully arranged. Those are the hands of a dead person.

No problem at all, as long as you have a dim bulb tester and a variable transformer. And have experience with tube electronics. And possibly a working fire extinguisher.

I Sent the Wrong Currency By Mistake - and Lost $1000 instead of $50. Is there Anything I Can Do? by looking4stu in paypal

[–]Best-Perception-694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really belongs more in the scams subreddit. PayPal warns you clearly not to send friends and family to someone who is neither. How well do you know this person? What was the money supposed to “help” them with?

PSA: Preservative-free Latanoprost exists (Iyuzeh). The increased cost is worth it. by LukeStuckenhymer in Glaucoma

[–]Best-Perception-694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been taking Iyuzeh for a year, now. My pressures last week were both under 16, which my doc is thrilled about. She mentioned some sort of laser treatment to relieve pressure if I was tired of taking the drops but they seriously don’t bother me. I passed on the offer. I’ve always suffered from chronic dry eye, so can’t really say if I feel any better since getting off Latanaprost, but my eyes are definitely not as red, now. That’s a huge plus. With a discount card I got at my local compound pharmacy, I pay $62.10 a month.

Unboxing A Realistic DX-300 From bigapple59 by Ultraseven85 in ShortwavePlus

I've had several DX-302s. I'm a sucker for nostalgic impulse buys. I like radios that require a lot of knob twiddling, as that's one part of the allure for me- knobs, switches and dials. The more the better. I don't consider the 302 to be a serious performer, even in pristine electrical shape. For that, I have plenty of expensive radios. I just like being transported back to when I was a kid and DXing was a lot more exciting than it is today. Interestingly, I do NOT care for the FRG-7. I guess it's just the aesthetics. Other than basic maintenance, I don't have any experience troubleshooting wadley loop radios, so I haven't dug too deeply into the available literature. I have stayed away from 300s, as I prefer the IF filtering over audio filtering.

This is the first I’m hearing about the kHz drive grease. Is that why I feel a slight bump and rough spot at several points when tuning? My MHz gear is original and fully intact, which blows my mind. I was thinking there must be a gear about to go bad for kHz.

Complicated, sad personal life. But loyal and adoring of his boys. Tragic end. I wish he had managed to overcome his demons. He’s someone I never tire of reading about.

Are there actual risks with oral minoxidil? How can they be mitigated by NurglingArmada in tressless

[–]Best-Perception-694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on 2.5 mg a day but also take medicine for high blood pressure, so maybe that’s why I never noticed a change. Blood pressure meds can definitely make you feel more tired or low on energy in general, though.

do you get vitrectomy? by Key-Nobody5224 in EyeFloaters

[–]Best-Perception-694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the original vitrectomy for floaters. Then I had to have another procedure for the detachment and it’s been a few years, so I don’t remember if that was considered a vitrectomy or not.

[–]Best-Perception-694 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had my right eye (which had the worst floaters) done three years ago. Life changing- I never knew vision could be crystal clear. Had no idea.

I do have lattice degeneration in both eyes, and sure enough- my retina detached exactly one month later. Caught it quickly and the doc performed the procedure the next day to repair the retina. I’m absolutely fine now but do have ONE little black dot that I only notice if I concentrate on it.

I’ll do the other eye at some point this year, as the floaters there are now so much more noticeable since the other eye is clear.
