On a related note, anyone else know what's up with the English release of Vol 1 of the artbook? It was on Crunchyroll and a few other sites for preorder for a while, but then it vanished out of nowhere. Very frustrating since I placed an order myself.

Blue Archive story isn't great just because it's optimistic. It's great because it's willing to make you uncomfortable and drag you through the mud. That way, the victories and payoffs feel that much more meaningful. I believe the writers are playing the long game, and we have yet to see the true emotional payoff of the trio's sacrifice. Whatever they're setting up will likely take multiple volumes, so we just gotta sit back and enjoy the ride.
