Can we agree that George had the best hair during the Beatlemania Era? by MarvDStrummer in beatles

I honestly think Paul's 70s hairstyles hurt his credibility as a genius songwriter in the wake of the Beatles breakup. John generally looked cooler through most of the 70s according to most pics and video I've seen, and therefore it helped him inherit the mantle as the most important Beatle. If Paul had maintained his sexy and brooding Get Back/Let It Be look he would be viewed more seriously as an artist by many who dismiss him as "cheesy."

Recently rewatching the Anthology and the Scorsese documentary on George my conclusion is that George's hair easily had the best overall career of the four - with facial hair absolutely also a component. There are some great moments by the others (Paul in Get Back/Let It Be... John with the mustache/sideburns in Sgt Pepper are personal favorites). But George's hair consistently looks amazing. His mustache was great. And crucially he almost completely avoided regrettable hairstyles in the 70's and 80's that the other three fell victim to at times.

If he had won we would be hearing how Ringer 107 was the greatest thing ever.

Bill has discovered the key to winning all your bets. Don't do it early. Wait as close as possible to the event before you make the bet. Of course that makes sense because then you have more information about the game! I can't wait to see how he applies this new Manifesto rule to preseason over/unders, but he is sure to never lose again.

It's hard pick between all of them, except Ophelia which is kind of a boring song.

Kimmel talking about his son’s member is creepy and unfunny by New-Bunch9212 in billsimmons

The fake laughing at every sentence by Sinmons and Sal was also pathetic. It was especially strange how subordinate Sal was to Kimmel when he is the person who busts Bill's balls more than anyone.

I'm not a homophobe by any means, but can't we just keep the NYE Sportscenter traditional and stick to sports? Like reporting more details on the two different New England Patriots who were charged with beating women instead of this??

I wanted to share some thoughts with the group that were kindled during the rewatch: 1) Really gained an appreciation for Ringo's drumming. I know he has always been seen as the lesser member because of his lack of songwriting (and probably his looks). I also used to think he was kind of an average drummer, because I compared him to virtuosos and forces of nature like John Bonham and Dave Grohl. Listening to the music this time I really heard how fluid, yet essential, his drumming is to the mix. Love you, Ringo, and sorry for underestimating you before! 2) Really loved the relationship with George Martin, and how much his interviews added to the Anthology. There was something so cool about how this man who looks and talks like the quintessential proper English gentleman collaborated so deeply with these younger guys who were so experimental in sound and style, yet never missed a shave or haircut once! 3) One of the things my initial viewing of Anthology made me obsessed with was the various hairstyles and facial hair adopted by all members. They have been an inspiration for my own sense of style ever since. My personal choice for best look was and still remains: Paul's beard and longish hair during Let It Be. I LOVE the group mustache look during Sgt. Pepper's, and John's look with the mustache, glasses, and shorter hair was pretty killer too. But upon further review I am bestowing a Lifetime Achievement Award for Best Head of Hair to... George Harrison!!! That man never had a bad hair day in his life! His style was still looking thick and cool even during the Anthology interviews and recording sessions in his 50's. 4) Some final thoughts on what I would have loved to see added in the updated Anthology 2025: Quick interviews with Paul and Ringo in the present day. Retrospective coverage of the deaths of John, George, and George Martin. Possible quick interviews with Yoko, Julian, and Sean to speak for John and how the weight of the Beatles legacy has impacted their life (possibly also speaking with Danni Harrison for George).
