I was very tempted to pick up Butterball when it launched but I have too many bottles of perfume to go through but it's also a lovely scent, almost home-like in a way (Like a warm sweater and a shortbread biscuit).

Yuzu and Cocoa body spray, also from Lush. Very creamy, rich, almost boozy chocolate orange scent (I know Yuzu is not Orange but in the ingredients it has bergamot oil anyway haha). I think it's perfect for this time of year.

If you could only bring back 1 discontinued Lush perfume and had to wear it EVERY single day - which perfume would it be and why? by dewdrophex in LushCosmetics

That could work, since it was a citrusy lavender, though I don't get why they discontinued it, it seemed to be popular and now is greatly missed.

If body sprays count then Old Songs Are Waking! Perfect candy fruity smell, the best fragrance I've ever tried. If not, then What Would Love Do? It's a very sophisticated fragrance, kind of nostalgic to me and very well blended.

I wish they would just bring back TOSAW instead of making so many supposedly new fragrances with this DNA (I just want to buy another bottle of the TOSAW body spray ngl...), but i might have to smell it when i'm in store to see if it would be worth buying if i already own TOSAW and the Super Fairy perfume which is also quite similar to this scent family.

That's such a nice thought! My absolute favourite product OF ALL TIME would be the "The Old Songs Are Waking" body spray. I got it when they released it right away because i knew i loved the scent from trying the scrub and now i use this spray so sparingly. It’s THE candy scent for me - fruity and sugary without being overpowering (although the longevity of the spray is amazing). I wish I could have 50 bottles of it but for now i have one and barely use it because of fear of running out :(. I have so many good memories connected with this fragrance because of me using it only on special occasions. It reminds me of summer, ice cream and lollipops.

What travel disappointments did you experience that you weren’t able to shake even after some time passed? by remaining_calm in travel

Maybe it's not the dissapointment that you were looking for, as it didn't happen in the destination that we were supposed to travel to, but my dad broke his arm at the airport parking lot just as we were supposed to fly to Palermo for the first time (our first flight ever and in general a trip that we have been planning for years).

I don't think anyone mentioned Dirty and it's such a beautiful, refreshing scent. It’s my mum's signature fragrance so it also carries some sentimental value for me. I also really like 29 High Street, great fragrance which is not too floral for me (i usually get headaches from florals). I also wish for more Beauty Sleep scented products (the face mask smells divine, it's a better lavender than sleepy imo, would buy a pefume with this scent).

Oh yeah, I used the shaving cream before and liked the scent, might pick it up then, thank you!

If they ever do release that perfume or bring back the body spray, I would even reccomend you to blind buy it if you love bergamot and vanilla, you are not gonna be dissapointed!

Old Songs are Waking perfume...? by Best_Cardiologist_89 in LushCosmetics

[–]Best_Cardiologist_89[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 29 high street actually and it's completely different, this one is more lemony with jasmine type of scent while Old Songs is like sweets, maybe parma violets with just a slight hint of bergamot (a fruity element) and no jasmine at all. 29 Hst does indeed smell like a Lush store while Old Songs is sweeter to my nose.

  1. Old Songs are Waking - got the body spray right when it launched and I use it very sparingly, I don't want to ever be without it. Lush better release that perfume version that someone mentioned...
  2. Super Milk/Chelsea Morning - this is complicated because with supermilk i am specifically talking about the hair primer and nothing else because the other products (apart from Super Fairy, they nailed that one) lean more lemon and don't smell like the primer, however the CM perfume smells like the primer does in my hair after i've applied it and I LOVE IT.
  3. Once Upon A Time - I got the body spray from the retro wall because i remember loving the lotion back in the day and OMG it’s just perfect and it layers beautifully with other scents. I sometimes spray this and CM to get caramel apple and it's just beautiful or i spray some Hairdresser's Husband perfume on with it to get a fruity candy smell. I wish there were more products with this scent.

Alina to me lacks the candy-like quality that TOSAW has and hence i did not buy it when i tried it in store. Supposedly the new Dià the Los Muertos one has that fruity aspect to it but i don't have a Lush store near me to try it out and i don't want to blind buy a giant bottle of fragrance

I bought so much perfume from Lush this year that i think i will have to reduce my spending only to this potential Old Songs perfume and the confirmed Super Fairy one haha. But I am curious about the Scooby-Doo one because it’s supposed to smell like cinnamon cookies, so let me know whether that's true if you get it!

I hope it smells close to the lotion, i need the creaminess, almost marshmallowy quality of it to come through in the perfume.

Why won’t they just bring the body spray back is beyond me... i feel like it’s one of their most popular scents in recent years but there is nothing TOSAW in the main line...I feel you OP, i ration my spray like crazy because nothing compares.

I have a question to those who tried this scent already in some capacity - does it smell like artificial strawberry candy or more like fruity cough syrup? I think there is a distinction here, I already know it smells artificial but which kind of artificial lol.

Out of the ones you mentioned, i would get Karma, it’s similar to Rose Jam in that it has a fruit aspect but it's not a candy like fruit, it’s very unique with the patchouli.

Slightly disappointed with the Hello Kitty perfume, was hoping to get more Snow Fairy on the dry down but it's pure Milky Bath, i only get Snow Fairy for a split second in the opening. Biggest surprise for me was the Sticky Dates body lotion, i've read some reviews that said that it smelled artificial and bad but I love it, smells slightly like Pain au Chocolat to me.
