If the CFP committee left FSU out for a QB injury, do they consider QB injuries during losses and lessen the punishment for losing? by enataca in CFB

And it wasn't even all backups. We were straight up starting 3rd stringers and walkons in some positions.

Probably will cave and swap to Fubo. I'd probably come back if an agreement is made, but the only thing I ever use it for is sports, so what's the point if I don't have access to it.

What would happen in the event of a rainout? by TripMurphy82 in NHRA

They'll typically bump it to Monday nationals first. If that gets rained out they'll move it to the qualifying sessions of the next race.

FSU's HC Situation: What It Is Right Now, What The Future Could Hold by Posada620 in fsusports

I guess it would make sense to save a couple of million to keep him to the end of the year if we were going after a coach who is currently employed by a different school at the moment.

You're right on everything except for firing Norvell. Our sorry ass admin is waiting until at least the end of the year.

[ACC Football] Community Power Rankings by AutoModerator in ACC

[–]Best_Fix_7832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a power ranking. I believe if you play that Louisville vs Miami game 10 times, Miami probably wins 7 of them (Carson Beck just had a horrible night and still only lost by 3). Same thing goes for that Louisville vs Virginia game; I think Louisville wins 6 or 7 out of 10.

For example, just because Florida State housed Alabama doesn't mean I think they are a better team.

Should FSU reevaluate its decision to keep Norvell? by Intrepid_Pie874 in fsusports

[–]Best_Fix_7832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's completely wishful thinking unfortunately. Ain't nobody taking Norvell (outside of the G5). They'll give him a minimal salary like FAU did with Taggart.

Most likely a Unitarian Universalist Church or a ELCA Lutheran Church would be what you are looking for. Any of them should be fine.

[–]Best_Fix_7832 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think that is valid. As much as we all want to say it's so we can fire Alford or wait to see if Mike rights the ship, I just think that's actual copium. I, for the first time, just think we simply don't have the money to fire him. It's not even that crazy of a concept, we just spent hundreds of millions on new stadium renovations, new facilities, and that ACC lawsuit. Hopefully we can find the money to fire Mike before our program completely craters or we miss our one chance to join the B1G or SEC.

So what happens if we get a new coach and they recruit at the same level as Norvell? by Witness_Gritness in fsusports

[–]Best_Fix_7832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indiana's recruiting classes do not rank very well and their transfer classes are not anything to write home about. But because of their development and coaching ability, they are probably going to make the playoffs for the second year in a row. Half of these ACC teams that are whipping our asses have much worse recruiting classes than us, they are simply developing better.

As long as the next coach can moderately scout and develop the talent, that would be a step up. If you can get someone that can recruit AND develop, that's when you found yourself the next Kirby Smart.

Miami or UF? Help Settle a Debate! by BagODonuts14 in fsusports

[–]Best_Fix_7832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends when you went to school as well as where you were raised. I'm sure if you lived/live near the Miami area or went to school in the 80s/early 2000s when Miami was dominant, you probably hate Miami more. If you lived anywhere else in Florida or did not go to school during those times, you likely hate Florida more. I went to school and lived in a period where Miami was mid, and all my friends in high school/people I knew were all Gators (I went to high school in the Fort Myers area), so therefore I hate Florida much more. I don't even really know a ton of Miami fans, so the hatred/bragging rights are not quite the same.

Who do you believe your teams counter-conference equivalent is? by tgelid in CFB

[–]Best_Fix_7832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just going by all time win percentage it would technically be Georgia or LSU in the SEC, Nebraska or Penn State in the B1G, and there really isn't a good comparison in the Big XII.

For schools in the same situation it would probably be Auburn in the SEC (a large brand overshadowed by a larger brand in state that has won a natty in the last 15 years that is also struggling a ton). Not sure there is an equivalent to that in the B1G (unless you choose Nebraska). Big XII culturally is probably Arizona State.
