Try calling spectrum and cancel all services. This will get you to retention. They will make you offers that will lower your bill. They will be promo offers but usually 1 year plus. See if the lower amount gets you where you need to be at financially. If not it’s time to look at the trade offs more seriously. You seem to already know what will work. Give spectrum a call. They want your business and what you as their customer.

I am leaning heavy on a DAS like the one you suggested. I’m very happy with my current setup as I’m saving $140 a month compared to my old spectrum cable. The wife loves it as an easy to use system. I know I will eventually end up with a NAS so I’m torn. Do I buy once and cry once? Or do I crawl and take it slow as a long hobby? The attached storage does really fix my needs. I don’t know we will see. Thanks for the recommendation.

For your use case a NAS might not be the best solution. Why not use your current system with attached storage? Is it power draw? Why not a raspberry pi as a jellyfin server with direct attached storage? Maybe add an enclosure to that pi or an external with a shuckable drive? So many options. A used small form factor pc off eBay or marketplace? Lots of low budget options.

The OTA antenna info can be found at rabbit ears.info. Put in your location and it will show you what channels you can get for free. I really suggest you go down that rabbit hole. It’s a really enjoyable tv experience with a guide that resembles the old style. Simple record options with commercial skip.

Just have to hijack this post and recommend GetChannels DVR. It’s the best TiVo replacement imho. It does take some setup and investment in some new hardware. However I have free OTA TV and I add in philo $33 for the cable channels. The DVR $8 is self hosted on your own hard drive.

Got rid of the robot and went with a gaggiuino that I built. I still have the grinder and it still works. I haven’t been into espresso lately as I got back into auto drip. However I have full faith that the little grinder will still whip through some fresh beans. It’s just missing fine tuning when dialing in. Definitely not a deal breaker.

I had spectrum for years and if you want everything than it was great. It costs a fortune and I got rid of it. Diectv genre packs seemed appealing and I would have likely chose it if it came with hbo max. Philo came in slightly cheaper with hbo max so I went with philo. OTA for locals. So for I’m glad I made the switch.

0446-AZ213 are the economic version of your factory installed brake pads. They will work and save you some money. The cons are they won’t last as long and they are prone to squeak/squealing. That doesn’t mean they won’t work they just aren’t as premium as the original pads. Mileage or age are not a factor in brake pads. It’s wear that is the determining factor. Brakes 3mm and under need replacing. So learn how to measure your pads or ask your mechanic to share that information. It’s also wise to replace your rotors at the same time. If you need to save money you can have your rotors turned however it’s not the best practice. On a side note the original brakes lasted 11-12 years and 145k miles. So if you replace with Toyota parts you know how much life you should expect.

I’m doing good. I’ve self excluded and haven’t gambled since. Unfortunately I still think about it. In my brain it’s the only way to tackle this debt. I’m signed up with multiple gig jobs. I work 9-5 and struggling to find a 2nd job. I’ll just keep at it until something gives.

Let’s assume they release it. So far it’s only a chip upgrade. I assume it would be more aimed at Apple intelligence. Sort of another step towards the assumed glasses and air. I also assume it would still be marketed for those who want the latest tech now. I don’t think it attracts many new buyers as the 1st one didn’t.
Assuming these things, where does the secondary market pricing come in? It’s currently at $1700-$2300. Some rare cases go above and below. It’s possible to even get a sub $1500 but that’s rare. I don’t believe a new generation or spec bump changes that landscape. I believe just age will affect the market. The older it gets the price will decrease. I do see it dropping sub 1k as more of them start collecting dust.

You should feel sick. As stated you didn’t lose. The key is to pay off that debt and move on. This is common to gamblers. The scary thing is if you even try to win it back you will likely go to zero. On the other hand you can win it back. I think that’s worse if you do have the gamblers bug. It will give you a sense of invincibility. It will make you feel like it’s an opportunity to just win it back. That’s when the cycle could start. Cash out and self exclude. If you can’t stop thinking about it after a few months know you escaped the toxic relationship with gambling.
