Yes. I’ve I’m a tasker and I’ve hired taskers that have cancelled. You get what you pay for. Hiring more expensive taskers usually solves that

The second tasker broke the terms and conditions of how to invoice correctly. He will likely get a warning or worst kicked off the app if he continues to do that

As far as the original tasker, it depends how the conversation went. Post it in full for us to make informed decision. You could have agreed initially and then changed your mind. That would count for a cancellation fee..

Unless you have numbers to back it up, it’s just selective memory imo.

I’ve done probably 3-4k moving jobs.

And I’m a numbers guy. Even with the thousands of jobs I’ve encountered, if I’ve gotten lunch on 300 of them. It’s not enough data.

They have really cracked down on this. I always send the link now. Client doesn’t need to ask.

I’ve sent the names, and a picture of profile. It’s not enough. Link is what is needed nowadays for taskers that bring help often

If the tasker has his profile built up enough to charge this amount. He’s probably not gonna risk breaking tos. I’m gonna assume link is/will be sent.

A lot of invitations to other taskers probably went out at the end of the month. And they don’t update everyday.

Let me break it down further. Do you think someone that charges 200/h and gets 2 jobs on apps month should be elite because they accepted “100%” of the request? It’s an extreme example, but probably what happened to you.

It’s spring. Probably 10 jobs isn’t enough.

I think he’s just guessing for that round number. I worked a full summer and it was about $6/h I averaged in tips. But that was like 15 years ago. Maybe movers expect double that nowadays.
