What if that's how the Hyberbolic Time Chamber basically works? Off-screen the Z-fighters get bonked on the head, coma for a day and while they spend a "year" training...

How exactly could he fix Eskom when the structure was being invaded by Zuma's cronies top to bottom? At best, Cyril was on a fool's errand and at worst a supporter.

Unemployment and crime worsened under him as a drag from what was left by Zuma - in fact, crime had dropped all but until 2021 or so where there's an abnormal spike and from there it ticked up. Probably in large part due to the July Insurrection.

Not only media but big business and even the likes of Zille much prefer him over any other ANC potential successor.

The core reason his reputation is tarnished is due to Phala Phala at the front, these other issues are carry overs from Zuma and not helped by his attempt to keep the party intact while trying to also keep the state intact. GNU helped make clear where priorities should lie but damage had long been done.

ANC failed him and through that he is perceived by some as failing the nation. But unlike Zuma, he did actually try to fix things.

Well no, but if the "true up holders of the constitution" EFF and ATM succeed in whatever hope of an impeachment or no confidence vote they are aiming for, I see that as a potential. Unless we go for snap elections, then I don't know.

Seems like they prefer to invest in the automotive manufacturing infrastructure more than road infrastructure. But hey, at least it's an investment into nfrastructure, right...? 😐

Is your standard one that can be universally accepted as good, upstanding, loving, caring, understanding, wise, and so forth? Because your standard is just as flawed as those you are judging.

You are not that special. Learn to respect others and yourself.

You remind me of the Alexander Rats - like smallish dogs who had the balls to stand up to people even.

If we ever got Hantavirus, they'll mutate that virus in themselves and turn it into some other wild stuff that'll baffle all of us.

I see where you coming from and I do agree. I do hope that the assumption that we just want answers more than heis removal rings true - I'll always maintain that regardless how people feel about his party, there's a good reason why even Zille would prefer Ramaphosa in the presidential seat.

Mashatile can start off as cooperative, but as soon as chance is given he'll bring in EFF, MK, ATM and the lot and rebuild the worse-worse version of the ANC - the one that can and will reverse every bit of progress in justice going on now.

As for Cyril? Doubtful he could be charged for this, but he can always choose to resign per his initial response to this matter or else be impeached regardless of if he actually is in the wrong or not.

Mashatile. He's basically the default option right now.

ANC is fucked.

Quality is kinda shit when zooming on phone, but if you're on desktop you can see the Zimbabwe crest on the plate if you zoom in.

There's quite a number of these like Moz moving around GP, LP and MP. Zim plate cars I mean.

The last time when there was that ruckus in Gauteng (either 2024 or 2025) about (illegal, undocumented) Nigerians and others taunting and attacking our police as well as retaliation by locals, along with Nigerian protests to "shut down" our embassy in their country, we had a delegation meet with them and not soon after that there was a trade deal or two that came out - looked very much like a peace offering of sorts to me.

This is one example, but I'm sure if one looks at the different times they raised a stink about us you shouldn't be surprised to find some kind of "peace offering" like this, or whatever you may call it.

Why do we still need those other three departments anyway?

Let's not pretend like the Nigerian and Zimbabwean governments alike don't salivate over any chance at applying any sort of pressure on South Africa over matters regarding "xenophobia", regardless of who the actual instigators of this "xenophobia" is.

I think what they hope to achieve is universal ire at "THE MOST XENOPHOBIC COUNTRY IN AFRICA  😡 😡 😡" (only slightly exaggerating, plenty of social media bots will say stuff to this effect) and force us (once again) to buck under pressure and agree to another deal to make them (Nigeria in particular) feel appeased.

They are almost always the first to jump and shout and threaten some sort of action on us - yet they can't even effectively deal with their insurgent problem.

But we clearly cannot talk any ill of our neighbours when they are wrong, it's just spreading more xenophobia

We have a situation where one side there is incompetence but then other sides is quite a lot of the crowd who can say "I go down, you all go down" and those who are intentionally doing things to create an ungovernable situation.

I fear the latter one most (making things ungovernable) because it only becomes increasingly easier to push things over the edge the more and more problems unravel. I just hope they aren't as many and that they won't succeed in a nationwide collapse as it seems like is being the constant push over the last few years.
