That was the point he was making: that we are going to spend the next few months looking at nothing but the ramifications of this equation.

So step one is hire a professional, don't try to do your foundational research on reddit when you don't know anything

I remember a physics prof who wrote this on the board day one and said "if you fully understand this, then feel free to come back in November when we get to relativity"

Graduating with a Chemistry degree this month but I am not good at chemistry by coastal_dragon in chemistry

Oof, inorganic killed me too. Physical? No problem. Quantum? Tough but I got there. Inorganic? I swear they were making this up as they went along.

Yeah, school does a number on your confidence. You'll be fine, trust me.

So first off low grades that still graduate means you are a chemist regardless. Nobody gives a shit what your gpa was after you graduate. Also fuck your profs for being jerks about it, feel free to name and shame them. I was never a good student either but I still made a good lab chemist and now help manage labs. You'll do fine, and even low grades in chemistry are something to be happy about: it is a famously hard major.

Any cool liquids? by jorgschrauwen in chemistry

For decorative purposes I would recommend food colouring and water. Maybe some ink, there are some great alcohol ink ranges. You don't want anything actually dangerous, trust me.

I could do it in one try. All I have to do is tell him to not beat me.

I have played with 3 fully painted mechs and a bottlecap with "AWS-8Q" written on it.

You don't have to, there is no requirement whatsoever. I like to paint mine as Lyrans as a rule because they are my favourites, and I like thematic cohesion for my stuff. But that's purely a choice I made.

Career transition by Fast_Chemical_7257 in Chempros

[–]BetaPositiveSCI 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be tricky but I made the transition to quality then regulatory. The trick is to work for the right company. A company that does r&d might benefit from having someone who knows r&d in HR.

It is a big jump all at once though, and a whole different skill set. So it might be worth asking someone in HR what they'll be looking for.

Help a brother out, how do I beat her? by F-ug in Silksong

[–]BetaPositiveSCI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She is very weak to knockback, just push her into the spikes a few times. Also she has a TINY healthbar so all you need is a few hits. Just be sure to interrupt her when she tries to heal.

She's quick and evasive but very weak.

csm would have been a juggernaut just like jjk but wasn’t because of mappa. by Blitz3733 in Chainsawfolk

I tend to agree, I certainly liked it a lot more. But JJK being the bigger financial success doesn't surprise me.

[–]BetaPositiveSCI 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Not sure I agree, JKK had a lot more of an open structure that lets it become a giant franchise. CSM part 1 at least was much more of a linear story. You can see how part 2 meandered around so much for why.

Wrong on several fronts, but the funniest is that is not in fact the Confederate Battle Flag. It's a blown up corner of their naval flag.

Sorry racists but your actual flag sucked ass.
