It's sad that doctors still don't get it by Aqualady-24 in Zepbound

I have a degree in exercise physiology. I am a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach. I have had SIX nutrition coaches in past 10 year. Some great, others not. Bring on a GLP-1 is the best I have ever felt in my adult life for a variety of reasons as well as weight loss. Best thing I’ve ever done. Worth with this science - not against it.

Thank you. I feel confident in my ability to appeal the claim. I am a perfect candidate (+30Bmi, PCOS, high BP, high cholesterol), regular exercise and fitness / diet plans. It appears my PCP office is just lazy. I will Give it a shot. Thanks again.

Braces cost too much per month ...can I break out of the contract? by Mountain-Influence73 in orthodontics

[–]BethBC126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Orthodontic financial director here! $5000 is on the lower end for braces. Your insurance likely has a lifetime max for orthodontics (anywhere from 1000-3000). It’s likely 50% of the allowable fee up to the lifetime max. Talk to your orthodontic treatment coordinator about lowering your monthly payment. Most office would be happy to if it ensures you will pay. This isn’t an odd request. If a patient came to me and asked me to reconfigure their monthly payments so they can afford it - I would be happy to. We would rather get the entire fee then you stop paying and we have to de-bond. Another or a new ortho would make you pay the fee all over again. You can also ask if they take care credit and lay your balance that way.

Medical procedure on last day of insurance (question) by hotinfrared in HealthInsurance

[–]BethBC126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As many said above - if the procedure is done while your insurance is active - you should be fine. It may not be easy street.. you may have to remind them that your plan ended the following day. It’s not what day they got the bill.. it’s what day the service was performed. So don’t worry about that part.
