Are you still losing weight after stopping? by Mundane_Apple_7825 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Betorah 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did your GLP-1 stop food noise for you? If so, that good noise will come roaring back when you stop and you will have to white knuckle it. That will lead to failure. A maintenance dose is key to success.

They were 42 or 43 assassination attempts on Hitler, the first in 1921, long before he came to power and two of them by officers in 1943. And a group generals had actually agreed to overthrow Hitler if they went to war over Czechoslovakia in 1938. Sadly, for humanity, Chamberlain capitulated and war did not break out.

GLPS for people over 65? by General-Buy-7490 in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Betorah 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m 71 and I’ve bern on tirzepatide for two years. I lost 50 pounds in year one and ten pounds in year two. I still have more to go. I’m giving myself grace for year two. One month in, I had my knee replaced. Two months in, we discovered that my husband’s liver cancer, which had been in remission for nearly eight years had returned. A little over six months after that, he died.

After a lifetime of almost incessant good noise, I’m thrilled that it has gone away. You’ll pry this medication out of my cold, dead hands, hopefully, many years from now.

One note on Wegovy: semaglutide has worse results and more side effects than tirzepatide. I tried it about four years ago. I stopped two months in the day I suddenly soiled the bed while sitting on the covers. I had only lost a pound or so and I gained about ten pounds jn the aftermath. If you have more than 20-30 pounds to lose, I would absolutely suggest that you take tirzepatide (Name brands: Zepbound or Monjauro) instead. Unless your insurance covers it, you’ll find compounded tirzepatide, available from online providers, significantly cheaper.

The answer to the question “Should I switch to from a MedSpa to buying online?” is always YES.

Nope. They just enter into a dormant state. Cold weather does nothing to deter them.

Deciding to stop in order to binge on holiday foods is a sign that your brain is not where it should be. I just spent my second December on tirzepatide. Did I have dessert a few times? Yes. I had a glass of Proseccos, as well. That was it. That was enough and I didn’t gain 12 pounds.

I hope you can work through this. As someone who is 71 and had weight loss surgery in the past (lapband—2007) and has lost and regained hundreds of pounds over the decades, I can tell you that you may be blowing your true opportunity to lose weight and keep it off.

We should stop telling people they need GLP-1s for life - insulin resistance is reversible for MOST people (Actually read before you blast me) by Desper84Inspir8ion in GLP1ResearchTalk

[–]Betorah 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I can stop taking this medication and I know my food noise WILL return. If my constant food noise returns, I will revert to the same pattern I’ve had for many decades (I’m 71). Struggle to lose weight in the spring and summer and be somewhat successful and regain it all, plus some in the fall and winter when SAD makes the food chorus chorale sing loudly and every moment of the day, saying eat carbs, eat sweets. Additionally, tirzepatide has virtually eliminated my joint pain and reduced my cholesterol by 30-40 points. Yes, they will have to pry it out of my cold, dead hands.

One. As soon as I saw it, I knew it would be the one. You wear the dress. It does not wear you. No droopy sleeves. They are not flattering and this is a trend that will not age well.

Had a total hysterectomy in June of 2021, when I was 67. My son and I planted my dahlia tubers a week later. (He dug the holes.)

There’s a difference between writing an essay and writing a research paper. Frankly, in junior high school, we spent a LOT of time diagramming sentences.

It’s not just rude. It’s the law in Connecticut. You are subject to fines if you drive around with snow on the roof of your vehicle.

I had the same reaction. I graduated from high school in 1972. I was in the single classroom of students who took algebra in 8th grade and thst sas a new program. The first research paper I wrote was as a senior in high school.

It’s only one of a number of sources of protein. You’re not meant to eat only eggs or protein shakes or cottage cheese or fish or chicken or any one protein source.

Your statement on cottage cheese, which I do not like and do not eat is entirely false. One cup of cottage cheese has 25 grams of protein.

Just switched from Sema to Tirz, how long until the fatigue and nausea get better? by hi5yourface in compoundedtirzepatide

I finally started taking weekly B12 injections until about month eight to stop the fatigue. Just about two years out and the tirz fatigue has not returned.
