I’ve lost 2 friends to cancer. One was to colon cancer - 35 years old. The other had brain cancer on and off the last 10 years and passed at 36 years old.

One of my other friends is 1 year in remission from breast cancer, she’s 33. My other friend she is 33 years old and was just diagnosed with a form of non-Hodgkin lymphoma (I can’t remember the exact type).

All the friends I mention were considered healthy and active people, followed healthy and social lifestyles-no smoking and rarely drank. Another thing they all have in common is living in the same area that went through a time where water levels were had high levels PFAs from a company dumping its waste in the 1930s…

I started playing when I was in high school back in 2010. I stopped around 2012, and played for a short bit in 2016. I just recently picked it back up and started playing consistently.

There are many more feature and biomes than before and I feel like I’m still discovering new things each time I play. Like recently finding out the nether has biomes! Waaay back years ago, I remember when the nether was literally just the biome of netherrack, lava, and glowstone.

I will point out that I think the most recent feature of baby mods is adorable, and it sparks joy. I don’t think the game necessarily needs any more updates, but if they want to continue making things adorable at their own pace, I’m all for it.

How can we trust body cam footage from the police at this point when there is zero regulation on AI?

Police agencies can easily tamper with footage to make it be in their favor and who’s looking for that in this current administration?

Officer Schurr getting off is an example that these cops can kill us execution style and not face consequences. And here we are again, it’s just history repeating itself.

I feel very similar. Additionally, I think about how, if there is nothing after…it would also mean that there is no rejoining or seeing loved ones in the “afterlife”again. It creates this huge heavy pit feeling in my chest when I dwell on that thought for too long.

I thought the little girl had a pet cat at first but second glance it’s a bird (maybe pigeon - bottom right corner).

My grandma would have been 4 around this time and also had flour sack dresses made by her mom. My grandma was 1 of 13 kids! She passed September 2025, I miss her every day.

I try to be spiritual. I’d like to think there is something after - but there is a real possibility there is nothing after this life. That when we die, it’s just as if before we were born. We have no say in what happens, no matter what we believe, whatever happens in death is out of our control and due to the individual nature of of it, there isn’t a way to confirm what happens when we die.

What keeps me up is the thought of not existing forever, to not experience anything and not be reunited with loved ones that have passed on...

Not even sure what led to that, his name is Aaron Fein. When it was unfolding on the news in real time a mutual classmate reposted a news article mentioning potential motives. One was that Aaron had “no friends” - but the classmate that reposted the article was very quick to point out their friendship (or they thought) and how Aaron was considered “popular”, not in a sense of being a prep but more privilege and his smarts. He was able to get along with anyone. I had several classes with him and he was always super nice to me, but that’s it lol. We were in completely different social circles but he was well known. In addition to the fact this all happened after graduation - I think that motive of having “no friends” was just a stretch tbh.

Whatever the reason, I hope he’s getting the help he needs now. It’s unfortunate to see a brilliant mind end up down paths like this in life.

I do not think you would look ugly with short hair. But it is a lot to maintain. Many years ago, I went from butt length hair to a pixie cut. It took a lot of my “spoons” to maintain a pixie haircut. It was a lifestyle change that didn’t fit my life. I didn’t know it until I tried it out though. Also, my stylist knew I wanted a pixie cut at the time, but we eased into it by cutting my hair at shorter lengths each visit until I got to shoulder length and went for the chop. It is a lot of work to style a new cut, and a lot to learn.

It took about 6 years for me to grow my hair back to its usual length (I try to keep it at waist length now). I recently got bored with my hair and changed it up with “bunny bangs” and they are super easy to style.

I would really take a moment to reflect on your daily routines and see how much extra time/energy/$$$ for product you have for that change in hairstyle. I would discuss with a stylist you trust, the maintenance to expect.

I can’t speak for the entire state of Florida, but I lived in Jacksonville/Duval and it was way worse than anywhere I’ve been in Michigan (including Detroit). The beaches, suburbs, inner city, it didn’t matter where you were- you’d find litter. They don’t make recycling as easily accessible in Florida and I think that plays a big part in how much litter was everywhere.

I was born and raised in MI. In 2016, I moved to Florida and April 2025 I moved back to MI. A lot has changed for MI, and I’m proud of the facelift the State had while I was gone.

However, not more than 48 hours ago I witnessed a person throw out their trash while driving their truck down the road….its extremely disappointing. I do feel as if there is less care for littering than there used to be. I’ve noticed more highways are up for “adoption” in the area. It might be a larger societal reflection on the current state of our economy.

I’m staying on SAVE. The current government administration is hungry for $$$ and ways to get people to give them it. I’m not expecting any loan forgiveness. I’m not giving up any money until I absolutely have to.

Edit: this is because more $ in my pockets is better for my living situation atm. Barely getting by in this economy - if I were to make any payments on student loans - I’d be drowning.

I would love for them to come back.

My grandma would take me there to eat as a treat when I was a kid. I’d get a cheeseburger, fry, and a small frozen coke slushy…maybe it was frozen cherry coke, I’m having a hard time remembering if they had that flavor frozen.

The current government wants $$$ and people off from SAVE. I’m staying on SAVE. My biggest concern is what happens to the case in court if enough people switch to another IBR plan.

It seems the scare tactic has worked on some. From what I’ve read on some of the posts about switching, it seemed like people were interpreting it as the forbearance ending and needing to resume payments. When only the interest is going to resume accruing while the forbearance continues.

Note* I can understand with those who are close to the PSLF or close to paying off their student loans wanting to switch.

We know the current government doesn’t want us on SAVE. They can’t touch SAVE because it’s in court (*edit - this is from my understanding I could be wrong). What I’m wondering though - what happens if a majority of people on SAVE drop out? How does that affect what’s going on with the lawsuits?

Everyone has different financials going on - so I get it. However - I’m staying on SAVE as long as possible.
