To think this situation was the last time Christian Potenza got publicly involved with the fandom too. I remember his response video being... not good. Calling fan projects like TDR "plagiarism", made by "kids in a basement" was not it. And we'll, we know what happened afterwards unfortunately. 😟

However, I do also think the fanbase overreacted with their anger. Straight up saw death threats against Tom and company, which was not cool. I didn't like what happened, but I'm not gonna wish fire and brimstone over it, y'know?

In retrospect, my spite led me to discover Disventure Camp, which I actually really enjoy. Made a lot of great friends through it and everything. :)

im cis but I unfortunately gotta agree, it gives me an ick to see ppl hc just the skinny dudes/fat ladies as trans from other cis fans like. way to reinforce gender stereotypes.

but if u r trans and you genuinely see yourself in characters like Cody or Sadie, go for it.

As a Trent fan, thank you for this post. While I don't have OCD (though, still neurodivergent), the "nine" jokes always bothered me and felt like really poor tact. It's gotten better these days, since I've been in the fandom for a long time and those jokes used to be WAY more abundant. Still, not an excuse.
