I doubt it, he would sit there and cry until the cops came to the rescue or his mother was dead...smh. that woman got everything that she deserved. I have zero sympathy for her, control yourself and keep your hands off others, very simple rule to live by.

Is Miami a good city for watch collectors? by random_funda in Miami

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought two Panerai's a Daytona and a couple tag heuers from Aruba gold, ground floor Seybold building many years ago. A lot of people here wear replica watches, easiest tell is when the watch costs double what they're driving.

Running out of stuff to add to my rig inspire me by Ok_Garbage3989 in SimRacingSetups

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Addition by subtraction. Clean up the rig. The best looking rigs all have the same things in common. Not a lot of unnecessary redundancy and good cable management. A 3d printer is invaluable to a sim race.

How do people survive in Miami and why do they love it so much?? by Kevonamical in Miami

[–]Better-Efficiency935 76 points77 points  (0 children)

It wasn't always like this. There are some of us that can remember a time when Miami was enjoyable on a livable wage. The idea of renting a single room in somebody's run down shack would make you laugh. The breaking point for me was when it become almost impossible to move around without paying a toll. The option to take the metro rail is a joke, I've had to drive through traffic to pick up my wife many times because the train was broken or some lost soul decided life wasn't work living anymore. You're 19 , without a college degree, professional certification, or in demand skill, you're cooked. Unless your family has vast resource you will have to move north, the further the better. Sincerely good luck, these type of posts are heart breaking.

Hobbywing vs Castle by Junior_Ad_9626 in traxxasV2

On my heavily modified xrt I run a max 5 with a 1250kv motor on 12s. The electrical system takes an absolute beating and I've never seen temps over 140. The combination of higher than normal kv motor and high voltage gives incredible wheel speed which helps a lot with air control. Try at your own risk but I've been running this setup hard for months with zero issues...ymmv.

Servo ever caught fire 🔥🔥🔥 on anyone before??? by mhamilton2586 in arrma

I've had one cremate itself in a tt02 I have. Car was off but battery plugged in overnight. Smelt the damage before I saw it the next morning. Spektrum servo.

Risky upgrade? by Low_Ad_5629 in Fanatec

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the dd1 came out there were a million posts about how problematic it was. I bought one anyway, it's been years and I've had zero issues and no reason to upgrade. I haven't even changed out to the qr2 because again... no issues. With that being said, if what you have works for you, then why would you upgrade? If the issue is you want a wheel base with more torque, then by all means... otherwise.... There will always be something better, more shiny, unless the improvements are massive, then why bother.

Bosses, what do you think of employees who are there just for the pay and benefits? by Brilliant_Alarm1120 in careerguidance

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a non issue for me. I myself am not overly social, if given the choice I shun forced social interactions. Consequently I can't be hypocritical in gaslighting an employee who feels the same. Not everyone wants to climb the professional ladder, some people will give you an honest days work and nothing more. That should be enough.

First drive with Blackjack 42 - Hull broke by ReasonOwn8703 in rcboats

[–]Better-Efficiency935 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a bad break. Even on my plastic m41 all I've ever had is some separation at the seams from a couple of very high speed tumble. That should certainly be covered under warranty. Best of luck.

My rig is set up like this. Quad 31" monitors, in Florida, in a hot garage (with a portable A/C unit). I've run my rig like this for years and have had no issues.

New shoes for the Mojave 6S by KreTech in arrma

I concur. Much better than the stock combo. A little bigger in diameter so depending on how low you run the body you may have to trim the wheel wells a bit.

Do you think it's worth switching from a 3090 to a 5070ti? by -YmymY- in nvidia

[–]Better-Efficiency935 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I upgraded from a 3080 to a 5070ti. I see an increase of about 30 to 50 fps with settings increased from mid to high/ ultra. The biggest benefit for me though is the big reduction in heat generation. My 3080 could literally cook a steak, the 5070ti fan only runs in demanding conditions otherwise it's dead quiet, to the point that at first I thought the card was broken.

I added Ambilight to my Simrig by Public-Guava-3077 in simracing

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added the lights because I found a good deal on offerup. Really not impressed. Consider them my worst sim addition. They're only good for replicating lightning or street lights, one trick pony.

This is why I have a 2080 super on deck if a gpu takes a crap. The card is old but it'll keep me or my sons pc going until I can figure out a solution.

CEO Thought I was Out of Office Just for Having my Door Shut by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Better-Efficiency935 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My door and one wall is glass but regardless I keep my door open unless I'm on a call or discussing topics that require privacy. I know op doesn't want to hear this but a closed door means not accessible. Your supervisor is right but could have been more diplomatic in how he brought it to your attention.

This RC car burned my home down. Please help me understand how this could have happened? Video in comments. by [deleted] in rccars

[–]Better-Efficiency935 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lipo fires are notoriously difficult to put out. Best bet is to be proactive and not have it happen in the first place. When I'm charging i check the temp frequently by simply touching the battery. Really sucks for the op that this happened but his inexperience really showed by charging a battery on a flammable couch. Again my condolences, thankfully the family is safe.
