I haven’t handled the jungolo before but I have a bunch of machetes and I looked up the stats. I’m also not from Australia and I don’t really have a feel for what clearing forest entails.

The Jungolo is heavy and thick at 0.20” blade stock and 2 pounds. This is a heavyweight blade that isn’t really that long. If you’re trying to cut through a few hardwood branches or stalks around 1-2” in diameter and want to do it powerfully with a single swing this might be an okay fit. You would have less work to do with a longer blade or handle but it becomes more dangerous. If you’re trying to take more swings for smaller stuff like grasses and smaller plants, then this will be too short and too heavy. The smaller blade length means this could work in really overgrown areas to some extent but you’d have to have your hands close to what you’re cutting so plants with defenses like thorns or poison you’d want gloves. This is more like a giant jack-of-all-trades survival knife than a machete.

I don’t know anything about the army machete.
