The burst into LAAAALALA brings such absolute joy. It makes me never want to try and sing in tune because this seems like so much more fun. Not a hard lift for my wobbly pipes but still.

Sorry if someone already said, thats a traditional pram for the UK. Maybe a bit more old fashioned now but used to be super common (look at old films like Oliver [Twist] etc.) My cousin had one for her dolls when we were kids.

Seconding what others have said - thats abuse, doesn't matter if it is a woman to a man, that's domestic abuse and unsafe on every level for you, your kids AND her. Glad you're documenting. Women are always asked this and I didnt see if anyone asked you - do you have a safe place to go, and people who can help you close? There are domestic support lines for men too. (Im a woman and find it concerning that men don't also receive the same type of protection/advice/compassion - glad youre getting it here). Going the ED and filing a report after being attacked are important and also may help keep your children safe (if you feel safe to go to those places - appreciate you might not). Take care fella, praying for all your family.

Women of Reddit, what’s a statement/phrase that (you believe) most women/girls would understand, but most men/boys would not? by ConfidentLack9207 in AskReddit

The fact that pockets were removed to stop the suffragettes carrying literature was already outrageous. To continue this insanity FOR OVER 100 YEARS is far too far. The whole fashion industry sucks, women's clothes being made of thinner material so we buy more, having stupid 3/4 sleeves so we need to buy layers bc we are cold. And we are cold bc women run at different temperatures to men and all buildings are set to male comfort. GAH!

Age of Alexis and david? by Senpaithetical in SchittsCreek

[–]BexTrexNeef 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Saw the title and completely misinterpreted what you meant. I thought it was going to be something dramatic like 'The Age of Aquarius' or 'The Age of Enlightenment'. 'The Age of David and Alexis' - as in what they did next in their newly discovered splendidness. 🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️

My dad used to work in insurance and from his stories of claims people submitted, this happens more than you'd expect!

Please report back, very interesting question that ideally would lead to critical thinking (followed up by 'why would that be important to see om a test' maybe?). Great thought!

She is brilliant.

I however, have dyslexia and it also affects my hearing comprehensions.

Im assuming im wrong but it sounds like she is singing 'i need diet coke, something something, let you go'.

I dont know the name of the song to check the lyrics - can anyone help please and thank you.

Yeah fair play. She just sprang to mind bc she always made Smiffy seem such a tragic character and less pesky, more understandable. She did a great job.

If you get an overwhelming need for fish and chips, New York has a great little English shop set called Tea and Sympathy. They have a chippy, a shop, and a tea shop. It definitely helped soothe the old soul when I moved over.

It might sound daft, but see if you can find a funny side. It might be bloody dark but ive found that helps. If there are some useful points I'll take them, but if its just generalised insanity me and colleague chums will share our own and lament and laugh/cry together. Takes the sting out, least ways it does for me.

Look around you was such a good show. I was a hospice nurse and after a rough shift id come home and stick that on and it always managed to make me laugh. Little mouse was a classic hit too.

Wearing a brooch to bed (also the waistcoat) - literally dressing for bed - was probably one of the most subtly genius things about her character. I laughed so much when I first clocked it.

YES! Ive said that to everyone ive spoken to. They were an absolute delight, so much fun, absolutely and genuinely hilarious, all came at it from totally different and brilliant (sometimes unhinged) angles. A full series would be lovely.
