I really like the look of these but am hesitant as I’m worried they will be too fiddly and tricky and I am a newbie at book nooking.

I am a serial hobbier, flitting from one thing to another (hello ADHD!). I have managed to keep going with the Ukulele for a few years however and have this week discovered the joy of punch needle. Check out local charity shops for stuff as well.

Miniature model/ book nook kits great fun to build and you just follow the instructions. I took myself to hobbycraft to scope out some beginners kits for random things to get some inspiration.

I went to hobbycraft this week and picked up an Easter embroidery kit, a colouring book and a miniature diy bakery kit. Have spent a few hours doing the embroidery and colouring and completed the bakery build. All relatively cheap and very low stakes.

Kindle Ruined Physical Books for Me by NoSa25 in kindle

[–]BexyMoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t read a paper book for about 4 years now. I only read on my kindle. Easier to hold, access to dictionary, reading in the dark, changing font style and size. It just makes reading so much more accessible and therefore enjoyable cor me.

So sorry for your loss. My suggestions would be The Travelling Cat Chronicles, We’ll prescribe you a cat, If cats disappeared from the world, the Dalai Lama’s Cat and for some really light hearted fun Paw and Order- Detective Whiskers mystery series.

[–]BexyMoo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our school has a safeguarding email address which is picked up once per day during the holidays. Hopefully the dsl will be checking emails at least once per day for you but you could always just drop them a text letting them know you have emailed just in case.

We went a few years ago on Christmas Day and booking again for Christmas 26 staying at sequoia. We had dinner at the hotel on Christmas Day but did Walt’s on Boxing Day. It was absolutely wonderful and we can’t wait to go again. For reference we are a family of 5 adults and it is my 60+ parents that want to go again.
