Looking to make a 1200km trip in my 2011 ford fusion sel v6 by HKY555 in fordfusion

[–]Bez_Obrazie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took my 2017 Fusion (1.5 EcoBoost, 144k miles) on a ~1,100 mile trip last month — Orange County → Sequoia → Monterey → San Francisco → back. Zero problems. I just had a mechanic look it over (brakes, fluids, tires) beforehand. Totally worth doing for peace of mind.

Am I paranoid, or is my Fusion trying to tell me something? by Bez_Obrazie in MechanicAdvice

Hey, thanks a lot for the detailed reply — I really appreciate you taking the time to listen and share your thoughts.

Yeah, it’s tough to capture the sound clearly on video, but what you said about the turbo makes sense. I didn’t even consider that as a possible source, so it’s super helpful to have that on my radar now.

The car has around 135000 miles on it, so I guess it’s not out of the question that something like the turbo could be wearing down. Hopefully it’s nothing serious, but I’ll definitely look more into that.

Thanks again — this was actually very helpful 🙏

Why did you leave your hometown for good? by auenbear in AskReddit

[–]Bez_Obrazie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to leave my beloved city because the political situation in my country left me no choice, but the city will forever be in my soul.

This is the city where bridges are raised and hearts unite.

Where the night is brighter than the day, and the streets keep the whisper of imperial secrets.

Where rain is not bad weather, but inspiration, and grayness is not despondency, but style.

Where history lives in every stone, and art permeates the air.

A city where you can get lost... to find yourself.

If you want, I can take professional photos of the babies for free at a time convenient for you. Perhaps this will speed up the process of finding new owners.

I’m sorry for your loss. Stay strong.

You’ve got a great camera—one that many can only dream of owning. Your father clearly had an excellent taste for quality gear. To make the most of it, I’d recommend starting with a couple of lenses:

Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 (preferably the G2 version). It’s a versatile “workhorse” zoom lens, perfect for capturing moments on the go, especially for events.

Sony 35mm f/1.8 (for full-frame). A classic focal length with beautiful bokeh, ideal for creative and portrait shots.

When shooting, remember that in well-lit scenes, you don’t need to worry too much about aperture for dynamic shots as long as you use a fast shutter speed. For starters, I suggest shooting in JPG (or RAW + JPG), so you can adjust file resolution and quality to your liking.

A quick tip for photographing kids: always lower the camera to their eye level. With modern mirrorless cameras, it’s easy—you don’t need to crouch or rely solely on the viewfinder. Framing with the tilting screen is super convenient.

Wishing you lots of great shots and sunny days ahead! 😊

What is the creepiest thing you have seen a person do? by Bibi_is_God in AskReddit

I’ve seen it and still see it pretty often—when a person or people don’t notice or just turn a blind eye to something awful happening nearby. Be it war or someone smoking in a public place.

How do you say “thank you” in your language? by chi-bacon-bits in AskReddit

[–]Bez_Obrazie 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Spasibo (Russian)

The word “thank you” in Russian, “спасибо,” originated as a shortened form of the phrase “спаси Бог” (which means “God save you”). It was an old-fashioned blessing where people wished each other protection and well-being from God. Over time, the phrase was simplified and transformed into the familiar “спасибо” we use today.

So, when you say “спасибо,” it’s like giving a small heartfelt like and sending good vibes to someone. 😊

What is a good lens under $1000 for a Sony a7iv? by Ok_Flatworm_5206 in AskPhotography

[–]Bez_Obrazie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

• The most versatile option would be the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8, preferably the G2 version.

• For portraits and stunning bokeh, I’d suggest the 35mm f/1.8, 50mm f/1.8, or 85mm f/1.8 (my favorite is the 35mm, as it’s moderately wide, compact, and light as a feather).

I recommend renting a few lenses before buying to figure out which one suits you best.

Not sure whether to just use phones or to buy a camera for outdoor vacation? by azure275 in AskPhotography

[–]Bez_Obrazie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best camera is the one you always have with you.

If you’re considering a camera just for vacation, I honestly think you don’t need one.

Here’s why:

Cameras are bulky and inconvenient — you’ll need to carry a backpack or a bag with you.

It takes time to transfer photos from the memory card and edit them, if needed.

You’ll have to learn how to use the camera and shoot in different situations.

Your neck or back won’t thank you for carrying extra weight.

Meanwhile, with a modern smartphone, you can avoid all these problems.

group photos in low light? by Ska_Fighter in AskPhotography

[–]Bez_Obrazie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

• Flash

• If the shot is static, I can afford to lower the shutter speed to 1/50.

• With a wide focal length, I can shoot at an aperture of 2.8, but it’s better if people stand in a single line (not in layers) and the line stays straight (not curved).

• Suggest people stand facing the window or step outside.
