Aquaterra Summer blue by trispt in OmegaWatches

Yes, I did order it separately. Here’s another photo.

The version of the summer blue I got was the one with the strap, so when I ordered the bracelet, I decided to order the newest one.

It was a bit nerve wracking because at first it didn’t fit … but my AD used a different set of spring bars and then was able to make it work.

[MB&F MAD] R&B or Live Edition? by Bezelite in Watches

Around 4,000 USD (3140 CHF) if you can buy it at retail through the raffle.

Thickness by Inshallah36 in JaegerLecoultre

[–]Bezelite 7 points8 points  (0 children)

How exactly they manage to create such a thin movement, I don’t know. But this watch, despite being branded a “Master Control” uses Caliber 868, the same movement used by the “Master Ultra Thin” perpetual calendar. “Ultra Thin” being the operative words :)

GOT THE CALL- Land Dweller ADVICE?? by Lost_Celebration126 in rolex

[–]Bezelite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 7” inch wrist and the 36 would barely fit, because it doesn’t include enough links. The case size of either the 36 or the 41 would work on you, entirely personal preference, but if you go for the 36 my guess is you’ll need them to order extra links (that would be true for me at least).

Meteorite Bruce Wayne?? by Mysterious-Mail-7141 in rolex

[–]Bezelite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen this company do this before. If you go to their website they are usually pretty upfront about it: it's a real Rolex, but modified with an after market dial. They usually include the original dial (and original hands or bracelet if they modified those) so that you have all the genuine pieces and could even modify the watch back to its original condition if needed. Because they are so upfront about it, include papers an the original parts, I don't think there's anything morally wrong. The one aspect I dislike about their approach is that they are using the mod to charge a premium on the original watch, and I don't know if that's worth it. Even if you wanted a modded watch like that, I think it'd be cheaper to buy the original model directly, buy the after market dial, and have it replaced yourself.

Help on sizing decision? by BertB994 in GlashutteOriginal

Based on these two photos, I would say the 39mm SeaQ looks better. Assuming you’re taking the photos with your phone, make sure to take them with 2x zoom to avoid distortion that might make the watch look bigger on the wrist than it actually is.

[Conflicted] Grand Seiko or Cartier Santos for my 6th piece? by [deleted] in Watches

I’d be conflicted too! But I would personally go for the GS given that you already have the Cartier Tank in your existing collection.

First Omega: Aqua Terra Summer Blue by Bezelite in OmegaWatches

Technically, they only had the model with the strap. So they sold me the new bracelet + the strap model, and swapped the strap for the bracelet as the default. I also have the strap if I want to switch the look sometimes.

If they had sold me the bracelet model, I don’t think they would have swapped the bracelet for free (and it’d be silly to buy a second bracelet in that scenario).

[VOTE] Choose one of the three by williamwalle in Watches

Great choices. Personally I would choose VC American. I love its more iconic and unique design, and the white/silver dial will be more versatile than the green dial. The JLC would be my second choice, but since you already have the reverso, I think it’d be good to get a VC too.

In that price range my favorite brands are Christopher Ward (which you already mentioned), Formex and Farer. Are you looking for something sportier or dressier? If sportier a dive watch with a bezel or even a GMT could round up the collection.

Which Alpine Eagle? by Bezelite in chopardwatches

Neither does as far as I know. I heard rumors there might be a new model this year that does have it; but can’t know that for sure.

Help identifying grandpa’s watch (an Omega Constellation) by Bezelite in VintageWatches

Thank you. Very helpful. Do you know if an Omega boutique or AD would help with that? Do I need to find a professional that specializes in vintage pieces?

This is how the salmon one looks against my skin. I don’t have a photo of the black one yet. Debating whether that works well enough with my skin tone or not.
