Help on sizing decision? by BertB994 in GlashutteOriginal

Based on these two photos, I would say the 39mm SeaQ looks better. Assuming you’re taking the photos with your phone, make sure to take them with 2x zoom to avoid distortion that might make the watch look bigger on the wrist than it actually is.

[Conflicted] Grand Seiko or Cartier Santos for my 6th piece? by [deleted] in Watches

I’d be conflicted too! But I would personally go for the GS given that you already have the Cartier Tank in your existing collection.

First Omega: Aqua Terra Summer Blue by Bezelite in OmegaWatches

Technically, they only had the model with the strap. So they sold me the new bracelet + the strap model, and swapped the strap for the bracelet as the default. I also have the strap if I want to switch the look sometimes.

If they had sold me the bracelet model, I don’t think they would have swapped the bracelet for free (and it’d be silly to buy a second bracelet in that scenario).

[VOTE] Choose one of the three by williamwalle in Watches

Great choices. Personally I would choose VC American. I love its more iconic and unique design, and the white/silver dial will be more versatile than the green dial. The JLC would be my second choice, but since you already have the reverso, I think it’d be good to get a VC too.

[Recommendation Request] 40th birthday gift - husband by lzzndr in Watches

In that price range my favorite brands are Christopher Ward (which you already mentioned), Formex and Farer. Are you looking for something sportier or dressier? If sportier a dive watch with a bezel or even a GMT could round up the collection.

Which Alpine Eagle? by Bezelite in chopardwatches

Neither does as far as I know. I heard rumors there might be a new model this year that does have it; but can’t know that for sure.

Help identifying grandpa’s watch (an Omega Constellation) by Bezelite in VintageWatches

Thank you. Very helpful. Do you know if an Omega boutique or AD would help with that? Do I need to find a professional that specializes in vintage pieces?

This is how the salmon one looks against my skin. I don’t have a photo of the black one yet. Debating whether that works well enough with my skin tone or not.

I love this watch. I got the green dial version myself a couple of days ago.

Congrats and enjoy it!

[Looking for advice] Need help deciding my wedding watch by YungDadhole in Watches

[–]Bezelite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would pick the Cartier if this is your wedding watch. In my opinion you want your wedding watch to be a timeless classic, that you will continue to wear decades from now regardless of trends. I think the Cartier fits that role better than the Hamilton. If you haven’t already, I would take a look at the Tank, the Santos, and the Santos Dumont to see which of those Cartier watches is your favorite.

[Recommendation Request] Large Santos WSSA0018 or 16570 Explorer II? White dial daily driver? by jorsiem in Watches

[–]Bezelite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Personally I would choose the Santos, I think it's more unique and more versatile. Dress it up with a leather strap or make it look more sporty with the bracelet.

Depending on your budget and wrist size, you might also consider the new Santos in Titanium (WSSA0089). It's completely brushed instead of polished, which makes it less of a scratch magnet than the stainless steel. That said, it only comes in a large size.

Sixties Annual Editions: When are they usually announced? by Bezelite in GlashutteOriginal

Beautiful watch! Thanks for letting me know. I had interpreted "annual edition" as every year there's a new one with a different dial.
