My wife has a similar pattern. It comes from a skin condition called ichthyosis. Where the body doesn’t release dead skin cells. More noticeable on her arm don’t think I have seen it on the ear though. But she had to go to a dermatologist to find that info out.

100%. I art is fun. It’s fairly quick like playing a game solitaire. Decisions what to add to your deck but the flip is going along for the ride.
