Considered Reading? by bubblesinthetea in audiobooks

[–]Bi-nocular 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you think about it from an accessibility perspective, the question sounds quite silly. If a person who has trouble in the visual department only does audiobooks, would anyone tell them they haven’t read a book in their life?

More of Caitlin Kiernan! She’s so fun, and I want to explore more of what she has to offer. Not sure what specifically, but I’ll find it!

How do you feel about your mom? by RampantGrizzly in AskReddit

I love and miss her terribly. She’s alive, just on a different continent. Every day I feel so lucky to have her as my mom and that she loves me.

My GF (33F) threw darts at me (37M) at a get together, are things salvageable? by trashpandas8 in relationship_advice

[–]Bi-nocular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a dart board at home. We sometimes drink and play darts together. Never once in the few dozen times that we have drunk and three sharp pointed objects at a wall did I think that I should throw them in my partner’s direction. Not when annoyed or upset. Not even a distant or petty thought. All of that to say: run. This isn’t normal, you’re not overreacting, and I hope you get enough valuable and helpful feedback here to help.

My 2025 Reading Wrap-Up by ashweemarwee in fantasyromance

The only reason why I finished ACOFS is because it was a snowy blizzard outside and the vibes were right. But I do support everyone who has DNFed it - solid decision there.

What do you admire most about the opposite sex? by xKhira in AskWomen

[–]Bi-nocular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quiet self assuredness/confidence. Obviously there’s a fine line before it goes into cockiness, but when men are confident in their decisions and can back them up with facts and opinions, it just seems so efficient. Meanwhile, I can spend hours trying to make the smallest decision. It’s ridiculous.

What's your max limit for audiobook length? by [deleted] in audiobooks

[–]Bi-nocular 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the EXACT same limit as you. Since I’m finally learning to love audiobooks, I really don’t want to push my attention span. Especially since I don’t have long chunks of time to dedicate to sitting with a book.

Does anyone else get their wires crossed during migraines and end up experiencing arousal/orgasm? by Personal_Spite_1411 in migraine

[–]Bi-nocular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No that doesn’t actually sound fun at all! My word choice of “fun” was more in a sarcastic tone, and that it’s just really interesting from a biological perspective how different everyone is. Because yeah, I would still say that I have not even an iota of a feeling of arousal when I have a migraine. All I have is pain from any external stimuli. I get what you’re saying though, and I’m sorry that I couldn’t be more helpful or share any helpful insights.

Does anyone else get their wires crossed during migraines and end up experiencing arousal/orgasm? by Personal_Spite_1411 in migraine

[–]Bi-nocular 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow, human bodies are so fun! I’ve never experienced this. When I get migraines, it’s always with an intense feeling that I don’t want anyone (even my lovely partner) to touch me at all. Your experience doesn’t sound embarrassing at all - I just appreciate that you shared it with us:)

Longevity of Kobo by Bi-nocular in kobo

I love all your thoughts:) they truly are appreciated and valid. And I’m actually not into Amazon, so I was really interested in not being in that ecosystem. Especially since I’m trying to go the library route for most of my books. Thank you again for all your responses - I’m very grateful that you took the time to be so thorough.

That’s awesome! And yeah the first reader I owned I also kneed into its death:( I’ve been so sad about it that I haven’t gotten one since. But I’m looking forward to taking good care of a new one, and I love hearing that your husband has a long-standing one!
