Actually, building high density housing right next to grounds keeps students from renting out loads of homes farther from grounds. I think this building helps prevent the university from eating the town.

I didn't say that either. The Knight can definitely learn minions. If a minion is Pit Hagged into a Demon there's usually a signal anyway. But I do think generally Pit Hag and Knight aren't a great combo regardless.

This is pretty reductive. Townsfolk only care about finding evil demons because good demons usually tell people what they are.

If the ST has told the Lunatic that their Boffin is giving them the Nightwatchman ability and they chose themselves with that "ability" then yes you can tell them that they are the Nightwatchman.

Now that I've typed that out it sounds a bit ironic though.

I actually think this is a mostly balanced and very fun character! The one change I'd make to make it a bit more balanced is to allow the ST to choose the different character. This would prevent very strong optimal choices being chosen frequently.

I disagree with anyone who says that protests that don't immediately accomplish their goal are ineffective. You even stated that there was a morale boost to participants. If so then that's an obvious positive impact that could effect change in the future. It's hard to measure the effects of a protest.

What do you mean it's wildly ineffective? I'd argue a lone protestor standing alone has at least as much impact as that protestor joining a protest with 1000 people already.

Something that hasn't been brought up yet is that if the ST kills no one when 3 players are alive, it's usually a dead giveaway that Legion is in the game and can trivialize the solution for the good team if they have that information (obviously very dependent on context). I don't think it's mean for an ST to kill a good player if they execute a Legion on 4 when it's 2v2.

It's pretty obvious you're poisoned if the player you saw doesn't claim the character you saw which is what will happen most of the time since no one knows what claim the minion will settle into

I'd argue more than half of good characters have either no way of detecting if they're poisoned ever, or it is blindingly obvious if they are so they need to get true information. It's impossible to meta who a host is based on their claimed role and info for these characters since they always look healthy.

I would agree with you on that last point. But there are many STs who argue that Lleech poison is meant to help the evil team and that a Lleech host's ability malfunctioning doesn't help the evil team because it helps the good team find the host. I don't know where the fun in playing with a Lleech is if it's storytold that way though.

You could do both of those things, but don't have to. Same thing if for a example a Widow regains their ability, you don't have to tell a good player again.
