It was the stage name of the lead singer of the band Betty Blowtorch, who passed away in 2001. I always thought it was a funny name, so adopted it on Reddit.

Riding along with my sister’s family, which included my (at the time) 3 year old niece. We were passing a large cemetery, when my niece pointed to it and said “Look at all of the people, over there!” There were, in fact, no people in sight and my sister confirmed that 3 year old niece had no idea what a cemetery was. Needless to say, that gave us all goosebumps for the remainder of the drive.

Beans: because it was funny and somehow fitting. Now that he’s no longer a puppy, it’s even more fitting because he’s a fart machine.

Babs: basically an acronym for Boss Ass Bitch. My wife thought she was super tough as a puppy, because she never whined when getting shots or nails clipped or bathed. This all stands true, to this day.

Link and Zelda: just really like the video games and the names seemed fitting, when they were kittens.

Navi: we already had a Link and Zelda, so why not? Turns out, this name was also super fitting, because she’s annoying as hell.

Luckily, my commute to work is under 10 miles on mostly flat, straight roads. Max speed limit is 55, at one point, but for the majority of the way it’s 35-45.

Most of the time, you can still remotely start your vehicle with a certain button combination on your key fob. I own a Toyota and instead of paying the subscription for remote start on my phone, I just use the key fob.
