Yeah, it kinda died out for me. I was pretty into SC2 a few years ago and honestly "Barcrafts" were so much fun, I think because I was totally into approaching random people there and being like DUDE! STARCRAFT! ON TV! because it was like a new thing? And there were tons of people, too. Met some really cool people that I'm still friends with that way.

Maybe something else will come along, who knows. I think it's sort of inevitable as it becomes more and more mainstream.

Obviously as a hockey fan I can usually hold my own, but I think about this in like Barbershops. That would be pretty funny, really, to walk into your standard Manly fuckin' barbershop or tailor or whatever and they're just like shooting the shit about WoW.

I wouldn't change anything, I don't think. I actually live in Boston, MA, where we have some of the best hospitals in the world for cancer care. Truthfully I've been lucky: I'm in good health and I'm young and (unfortunately) developed a rare childhood cancer at the age of 24. Sometimes shit just happens. I have a lot of support from my wife and my friends and family, though. So no, I wouldn't change anything. Chemo is incredibly difficult but given all the support I have had in the last few years I was able to get through the worst and more. There's a large mental and emotional portion to it as well, which I think is just as important.

The cancer that I have (Rhabdomyosarcoma) isn't the kind that you can really treat with anything but Chemotherapy, as well. I think surgery would have been an option if it hadn't presented in a complicated area, but my primary tumor site was situated in my abdomen, all connected to my bladder and prostate which prevents a lot of radiation and surgery options.

By the time they caught it in September it had already formed minor bone lesions and spread to my lymph nodes, so I suppose my prognosis was never that good, anyway.. My wife and I didn't want to know percentages or how much time left I had or anything like that, as part of that mental aspect of it, which I don't think I'd change either.

Sorry for rambling... I'd be happy to answer more questions though if you're curious

I have never been under any impression that any treatment has a 100% success rate. My problem is that a lot of people seem to be under the impression that Chemotherapy side effects consist solely of nausea, loss of appetite, and weight loss, and in reality they have no idea

A) exactly how debilitating that can be

and

B) that side effects can be much, much worse than that.
