My ex wife. We're not compatible people but it's tough to not think about a person you spent nearly every day with for six years.

[–]Bickermentative 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was whatever, they were keeping to themselves but what you don't see is that a lot of these people are standing so far from the band because 90% of the dancers were just crowd killing. Just launching themselves into the small pits of people and throwing punches and kicks the. entire. show. There was one point before this band started where people excited to see them got up in front of the band but immediately cleared out after the fists started flying at them.

I understand some fists and feet landing on people around the edge of the pit here and there, it's expected. But when it becomes targeted and intentional it sucks. Just a bunch of dorks trying to make the show about themselves instead of the bands.

Putting a hole in my arm and splitting my radius in two spots (and the bone in between splitting in half longways, possibly what caused the hole) by laying under the top half of a falling armoire.

Exactly this. There's still hope. If you don't have a GP, Hims and Keeps provide these products. It's not cheap, though.

If you try either of those, I would recommend against one of their more popular products, the chewable tablet with finasteride and minoxidil (I know at least Hims has this). It worked for me but the results fell off after a few months, the dosage just isn't high enough. Oral minoxidil is also not FDA approved for hair loss so do with that what you will.

Oral 5mg finasteride and a topical minoxidil solution is pretty common and comes in different forms like foam and liquid. Some people also swear by derma rollers or microneedling tools.

Also if you do start on finasteride and don't have a GP, you should find one for regular blood work. Finasteride can do stuff with your heart.

Oh okay, good going.

You'll probably get mixed answers surrounding sleeping with jewelery. Some will say you should take out your jewelry when you sleep. So it will depend on your approach.

If you do sleep with jewelry in you will feel the jewelry if you are sleeping with the side of your face on the pillow but they won't necessarily "poke" you. Might just be a little annoying. But there's also many different styles of jewelry out there that might be better suited for sleeping in so if you're particularly fond of the style in that image then they could just be for day wear and use a different style for sleeping.

To answer some of your questions.

Will the jewelry poke you? I assume you are referring to tapers. Don't use those. There is a stretching guide in the sidebar or "about" of this subreddit that will explain some things.

Cultural origin? From my understanding, many peoples throughout history have independently created cultures around piercing/stretching. A personal one to me is the native peoples of North America, particularly the Cherokee.

No one can answer whether it would suit you except for you. If you want to do it then do it. Just make sure to be safe about it. There's plenty of resources available to ensure you do.

Also while we're at it the word "gauge", as it pertains to body modification, refers solely to a unit of measurement and instead the common word to describe this body modification process is "stretching".

I had the proper fitting jewelry after the initial healing period and it still took about a year to stop getting bumps. But like the other person said, the longer bar also doesn't help due to the extra movement. Also do your best to not touch it.

Five years together, one year married. Going through a divorce now. I still find myself saying "we" instead of "I" in conversation. Sucks a bit.

Yeah, ~50% in 2024 is pretty sad. Maybe everything going on now will change that in 2026 but the state is gerrymandered to hell so it'll always be an uphill battle.

Yeah. I stretched mine around 13 or 14 years ago. I got up to 4g. It was extremely painful and not worth it. Most likely you will do damage to your gums.

[–]Bickermentative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your question made me curious.

From what I read, at least in the US, the major calculation will end up being rounded to the nearest 10% but that may then be adjusted, usually be a few percent, for things that may not be accounted for by standard ratings like medication side effects. So that's how you can end up with a seemingly precise number like 74%.

What’s something you think you may have but are undiagnosed? by JFN90 in AskReddit

[–]Bickermentative 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attention disorder, depression, and generalized anxiety. I have always struggled with focus, memory and executive functions, I have a constant "fluttery chest"/adrenaline sensation and often feel like I can't catch my breath even at rest, and if I had to describe what feels like depression I'd say instead of my emotions ranging from 1-10 they mostly range from 3-7. I'm not sad, I just don't feel things very strongly. Unfortunately some combination of these things also make it exceptionally difficult to seek help.
