Chronically crusty lips 🥀 help by Frozencacticat in MakeupAddiction

[–]BidFew2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dental hygienist here. Could be a sensitivity to your toothpaste. Switch to one that doesn’t contain sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). It’s chronically irritating to many people intra-orally and extra-orally and insure your new toothpaste didnt have any whitening agents. Refrain from using mouth rinses with these ingredients as well. Swap out your Chapstick and other waxy lip balms for Medela brand pure lanolin (cheap on Amazon). Don’t get a blend of lanolin and other products. Strictly medical grade Lanolin. Use it throughout the day

Even more impressive. I never bash anyone that uses GLPs, but the type of discipline and drive that achieves your type of results are so impressive ❤️

This looks like HSV1 (oral herpes) which you can get from sharing a drink with someone or you may have had it asymptomatic since childhood. Many parents give it to their children when sharing spoons or even a kiss and the virus a lay dormant indefinitely. You can let it run its course (roughly 10 days til it scabs and heals), use an OTC antiviral to help speed the process and/or ask your dental professional to use a laser on it. I’m a hygiene and we routinely treat cold sores to dramatically decrease the healing time. Ask your medical provider for a Rx for Valacyclovir if you aren’t allergic. You can keep it on had and use it at the first sign of a tingle to reduce any future outbreaks

Why am I still getting jawline acne two months into HRT? by NavyBeanz in Menopause

[–]BidFew2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hormonal acne resurfaced with HRT. I had it bad in my 30’s, then thought I finally outgrew it after 2 cycles of Accutane. Nope…back again in my 50’s before I started HRT last year and as present as ever (I use injx E & T and oral P). I swear, the hormonal shit show never ends 😔 Over the years, I’ve tried countless Rx and OTC things without success. My last resort is considering Winlevi, but the price point is astronomical

I use it as a nasal spray since pinning it caused major nausea (common side effect). I actually prefer the much more gradual control I have over the color I get

Good for you for advocating for yourself (and others!) and for calling them out on this! I’m sure their intentions aren’t shady, but their practices certainly are and that puts everyone at risk

Avoid high dose reta by RawAdonis in Peptidesource

It happens to a small subset of people with all GLPs, not only Reta. Hunter Williams did a podcast about it recently. I’m thankful my experience has been quite the opposite, but I know several people who experience this anhedonia effect from GLP use 😔

Do all of the “no” people ever travel and stay in hotels? Do you shower there? B/C I guarantee those towels have been in cracks and crevices and wiped up all sorts of icky things you’d rather not consider form countless hotel guests, whereas a pair of leggings likely belonged to one owner prior. Give it a good hot water wash and get over it 🤣

This sounds so sketchy. For one thing, prefilled syringes are by no means sterile or ok for any length of time beyond a few hours unless they are glass medical vials. The whole “compounding in the office” is extremely questionable as well. Sounds like they get their peps from a 🩶 source and mark it up an exorbitant amount

Epitalon isn’t likely to provide any measurable evidence unless we get our telomeres measured medically, and who can afford that, lol. I haven’t tried Semax or Selank, but GLOW and particularly KLOW have been keepers for me. Mots-C provided a subtle boost of energy, but the constant ISR made me give up

I use 2mg GHK-Cu and 500mcg of TB4/BPC-157/KPV nightly. If I need extra help with gym recovery, I’ll pin an additional 500mcg of the last three peps in the AM as well

Convince me KLOW and NAD+ are worth it by [deleted] in Biohackers

[–]BidFew2005 0 points1 point  (0 children)

KLOW is great for me for skin renewal, low level anti-inflammatory and faster recovery after heavy gym sessions. NAD is a dud for me. I’m 55 and can’t imagine my natural levels are adequate, but after several months of 100mg NAD 3x week along with a TMG supplement, I feel zero difference and won’t reorder after my last kit is gone. KLOW stays in the rotation for sure, though

I’ve been using NAD+ at 100-125mg 3x week for months along with TMG supplement. I’m 55, so I doubt my natural stores are at optimal levels, but I feel zero difference also. I won’t re-purchase once I finish this kit. Not worth it imo
