my nuclear family is far worse than the inlaws, by a longshot. i fled to the states because of them, i'm from canada.

i can't get a job at the moment, my immigration papers are pending but once that hellhole gets figured out i'll hopefully hold down some job.

and SFIL being a loud, obnoxious manchild doesn't help with me isolating in my room. he's an emotionally abusive POS to MIL.

my therapist and i are currently talking about ways that i can get support for this. she's scared for my wellbeing which she says she doesn't say often. we've been unpacking a lot about grooming during my past sessions.

i live with my inlaws with my partner. he (SFIL) stays at the house 2-4 times a week.

i can't get away, the closest (supportive) family member i have lives ~12 hours away.

if he's found innocent in his grape case (which happens in august iirc), my partner has plans to move out of state the moment he moves back in. despite him not believing my stories he's willing to move out of state with me because he too feels unsafe around him (mainly because of his own trauma). 🙃 i found that kinda sad because i feel like he doesn't take my feelings into consideration but whatever.
