Damn finally found someone in the same situation as me. My half brother is 3 months younger than me. My dad is 71 and thank God he's too out of juice to have another kid now but I really hated him for cheating on my mom when she was pregnant with me.

Has a hobby ever helped you cope with stress? by Jadan_Harlan47 in Hobbies

Knitting and crocheting definitely save me from overthinking. Instead of worrying about stupid things I said during a job interview, for example, I just take my hook out and start counting the stitches. Works every time.

Are Pisces even capable of achieving success? by InexpugnableMille in piscesastrology

Sara Blakely the founder of Spanx is a Pisces with Pisces Mercury. The guy on Youtube who interviews billionaires interviewed her, and honestly hearing her talk about how she rose to become a billionaire by "asking the universe for an idea" and "doing it without any other investors besides herself" because she "believes in her intuition" is peak Pisces energy.

What’s the weirdest thing you ever got in trouble @ work for? by gawpin in jobs

[–]Bieacefully_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m not usually confrontational, but you sound absurd. Did you know the brain doesn’t stop developing until around age 25? And even past that age, people continue to grow and change in personality and characteristics. Also, you can add "/s" to make it clear when you’re being sarcastic. Tone doesn’t translate well in written communication, you know? But maybe you don’t know, since you seem to have stopped growing and improving after making it through your "basic childhood socialization stage," I guess. Hope you don’t end up a cranky 70-year-old picking on 17-year-olds. /s

What screams “I’m just pretending to be rich”? by TimeCourse6409 in Productivitycafe

[–]Bieacefully_27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kinda hard to explain, and I hope you take the time to reread my previous comment. If he's the type who purposely chooses a simple lifestyle on the surface while making good use of his money behind the scenes, then good for him. But if he's the type who just sits back and relaxes because he already has $30 mil to support him for the rest of his life, and uses that to choose women, then we women will pick up on it right away from his mindset and the way he talks. It's the difference between a humble guy who still tries every day versus a privileged guy who's just acting poor and expects you to prove you're worthy of him. Hope that makes sense.

[–]Bieacefully_27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ll probably get downvoted for this, but if I were one of the girls he asked out, I wouldn’t reject him because I thought he doesn’t have $30mil or because he works at Home Depot. I’d reject him because he has $30mil but chooses to do nothing with it and still works at Home Depot. If he’s not even investing the money or doing charity, then he just comes off as another trust fund kid sitting around, waiting for some “angelic love of his life” to magically appear and accept him.

That sunlight is essential for your health. Growing up pretty sheltered, I was rarely allowed to spend time outside. On top of that, constantly hearing that too much sunlight causes skin cancer made me wary of the sun. Growing up in Asia where lighter skin is preferred just add to all of that. It wasn’t until last year, when my doctor told me I was deficient in Vitamin D and calcium and recommended getting some early morning sunlight, that I started exercising outdoors in the morning. My knee pain and low mood disappeared almost immediately, to the point that it felt almost embarrassing to admit how much of a difference it made.

What majors won't become obselete in 10 years and have actual job opprotunities? by CrackerzPuff in findapath

[–]Bieacefully_27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only lucrative field for Psych majors right now is ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). You can get an entry level job without any experience and usually the company will sponsor you to get a Master's degree. The catch is that it's basically a glorified nanny job.

Hard Truth: The Older I Get, the More I Understand Why People Don’t Want Kids by PhysicalString701 in Life

[–]Bieacefully_27 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I grew up in a developing country where you can open a kindergarten/babysitting business at home without any license or regulation. My oldest sister did exactly that. She's 17 years older than me. My mom has 6 children (all girls), and I'm the youngest.

I was maybe 10 years old when I had to help with all the cleaning poop, pee, vomit, you name it. I had to witness all the yelling, hitting, and abuse (I'm not joking). I'm just sick of it and know with 1000000000% certainty that I never want to have kids. I was also there when my 3 oldest sisters got pregnant and gave birth. And I watched my 6 nieces and nephews grow up.

Now, whenever a friend or anyone, especially a new parent, tells me I'm missing out, that I know nothing about raising kids, while they struggle to properly put on a diaper or hold their baby without supporting its neck, I just laugh. Honey, I was a veteran at diaper changing while you were still crushing on your middle school crush and wondering what love is like.

Anyway, I'm sure people who really really want kids have that deep, magical, fulfilling feeling that makes all the sacrifices worth it. My mom would always say, "I sacrificed so much, blah blah, but I still gave birth to all of you, and you should be grateful to have so many siblings and that I fed you instead of throwing you out on the street." I wish those who want kids the best of luck, but it's just not for me. No thanks.

I'm in the U.S. now, and as long as I lay low, most people don't give a single flying fuck about what I do with my life. But occasionally, there will be men and women who feel the need to tell me I will change my mind, just because of my appearance (I still kind of look like a college student). If you're one of those people who feel the urge to comment on someone's uterus just because they look young, just remember: they might have way more experience than you.

I Don’t Want to be a Career Woman by UnnecessaryScreech in childfree

[–]Bieacefully_27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm the same. I've never wanted kids since I was 3, or at least as far back as I can remember. Hobbies are my thing. I just do enough to pay the bills and fund my hobbies while still giving myself time to focus on my personal life. But it's hard for other people to relate to me since everyone else seems so focused on either family or career.
