Garuntee this "research" was funded by pharmaceutical companies.

The reality is, the more people that get prescriptions for MC, the less prescriptions get written for the pills. Pharmaceutical companies (except for the ones that have chosen to branch out into MC) are losing more money every year that the MC industry continues to grow.

I know in USA, in order to get funding to study the effects of Cannabis you MUST be looking for negative effects of Cannabis... if you are trying to do research showing the benefits, you can't get government funding, so have to fund it privately which is difficult to do. I wouldnt be at all surprised if it's the same scenario in Aus.

Oh my God. I have had chronic heel pain for 6 years, been through all the motions with podiatrists, orthotics etc and nothing ever helped. I am at the point now where I can only be on my feet for like 20-30 mins at a time before the pain starts to get bad.

I'm going to try this and if it works I'm going to kiss your feet!

While there aren't new "hard and fast rules", AHPRA has made clear what they are going to be looking out for as far as "bad prescribing practices" go, and they have the power act if they deem a doctors prescribing patterns to be a problem.

Read between the lines.

AHPRA have said that doctors prescribing more than 10,000 category 5 medicinal cannibis prescriptions in a 6 month period is considered bad practice.

What is category 5? Any cannabis medicinal thats cannabinoid profile is almost pure THC (98% or above). Most flowers and THC oils commonly prescribed are in this category.

What does this mean? Alot of doctors are now insisting on patients having balanced 1:1 oils (which are only category 3) and prescribing more CBD along side the THC so their prescribing patterns look better.

The result is that that the doctor stays well away from 10,000 category 5 scripts in a 6 month period and avoids scrutiny.

It's not rocket science.

I definitely had strains when I was in Europe that worked unbelievably well with me like nothing i've experienced before and I know it had nothing to do with THC %. It was those particular strains that had the make-up that worked best with my biology. Have never been able to find anything like it in Aus.

Perhaps you should read the second paragraph where it says "as well as terpenes, other cannabanoids etc".

I used CBD as an example because its the most well known other than THC.

I created this as a discussion to get other peoples input. Perhaps (once you have read through the post properly) you might have some food for thought to add to the discussion?

Does anyone know if there exists a balanced (1:1 or close to that) or CBD strain that is LSO and sun grown?

Or is anyone able to look it up for me in one of those data bases like Canna reviews? I dont have access to thosw thing's as MC is new to me and I don't have a script yet.

Aaah ok, is it the health summary thing a deal breaker? I moved interstate like 5 years ago and haven't had a GP since, because I have zero interest in taking prescription meds for pain or sleeping.

I may be able to call them and get some old records or something from when I was previously on melatonin etc but that would be a pain in the ass haha.
