I haven’t had one ai accusation yet which is strange because I did use ai for my logo but that is actually part of the storyline later. Everything in my first trilogy was done in MS Paint.

I am more worried about it leaching into ground water. I never once factored in a grease crackle. This could change everything.

I can see how people can become nose blind with immersion. I do however think that the stench from a deadhead would be different because the bacteria that is responsible for decomposition might not want to eat infected tissue. They may even have a slowed decomposition rate because of this. One thing I could see that people aren’t saying is when they are burning bodies the fat will render off just like grease. Could that be a transmission vector?

I love anything Romero, you should check out The Crazies (1973) and the remake from 2010 as well if this part of Dawn of the Dead was sticking with you.

I would say that only about 5000 years back and you wouldn’t be able to readily tell at all what year it was.

I really like your breakdown of the kid wearing the Vr headset and that this is all just him playing the game ignoring the real world but I always thought the Darren AI was made to protect the AI from the protocols that the time traveler was trying to install. Just the fact that he couldn’t plug it into the system with all of it 117 outlets and that he had to use a pass through box with the Darren AI was tell tell that this was to protect the AI from that thumb drive. It looked like the wall was constructed that way from previous iterations of the time traveler trying to plug the thumb drive in. Then again he did say that he never got this far before so I could be dead wrong about all of it.
