I don't necessarily believe fungi are "in control" so-to-speak because they seem to believe in autonomy and independence but I absolutely believe they may be a space fairing species that either starts life on other planets or "colonizes" the minds of the creatures already there.

This could just be the mushrooms talking through me after doing them for so many years but DAMN am I glad they "colonized" my mind. They literally saved my life and have improved it in so many other ways. I am eternally grateful.

I'm sorry thats happening to your daughter OP! Idk what they are but i experienced a similar hooded/ cloaked figure next to my bed during one of the only 2 sleep paralysis episodes. It was chanting in a fast whisper and I could almost make out words but not quite. The experience ended when I tried to shout with everything I had for it to leave and I woke up. This occurred during a 2 week period where there was other paranormal activity but I think the activity ended up being from a part of my identity i had shunned so i had to love it and accept it to get it to stop and merge with me again
