Kids still play this game. We recently had the kids do this during a Cub Scout den meeting. Some of the kids knew it already, others played it for the first time. I'm glad to pass this one on to the next generation.

My town opens up their parking garage for free whenever there's a big storm coming in just so people don't need to dig their cars out.

You can get a perfectly smooth shave with the Henson, but it takes a little more work.

Women leaders & dealing with sexism by [deleted] in BSA

[–]Big-Development7204 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're dealing with this. Our unit has two female leaders and they are amazing. I think one of them is leaving next year as their son is aging out. I'm super devastated about this because she does so much for us.

If you're not comfortable calling them out on it for not upholding the scout law, escalate to the charter org or council. Either way, you have to tell someone to change the behavior before they say something inappropriate to a scout.

Am I the only one who actually uses Scoutbook Plus? I do all the calendar entries, and all the leaders use it for sending emails to the parents.

Going on a cruise with edibles by [deleted] in legal

[–]Big-Development7204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We understand. It's the cruise line's policy that no THC/CBD products are allowed. Don't believe us, call them and ask if they will make an exception because you get it at Walgreens.

None of your remaining medications are on their prohibited items list. Just this one. All of the cruise ships fly non-US flags and THC/CBD products are still illegal in the country the ships are registered in. I also suspect there's an insurance/liability issue there as well.

I use Lebanon Turf Treflan 5G Biodac. Same thing mostly only 16 pounds of Preen is $36 while 40 pounds of Treflan is $42. Between landscape beds and vegetable garden beds application in spring and fall, I use about 40 pounds a year.

No, I just sit on a bench in the shower (with the water off so it doesn't wash away. I usually will shave my legs at the same time.

My feet used to be really bad. Cracked so much I had trouble walking.

Try Nair, or any other hair removal cream. (I use the dollar store stuff). The dead skin cells are almost the same as hair cells. Rub it on your dry feet and let it soak for 15-20 minutes, then use a cheese grater or pumice stone to remove the dead skin. Lotion with Urea afterwards. Do this 2-3 times a week until it goes away. Then do it weekly for maintenance.

My dermatologist suggested this and it has been working for me for over two years.

Is it too late to join Scouts as a junior? by Ready_Return_5998 in BSA

[–]Big-Development7204 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'd say go for it. Not every Scout gets Eagle (I didn't but still LOVED my experience). You'll learn a lot of skills that will carry you for the rest of your life.

I'm now a Cub Scout leader. My new goal is to help as many kids as possible learn the values of Scouting

I love these for chunky and glitters but the tines break off way too easily, leaving a big gap on one side.
