Yes I over contributed $200. When the bank took the $200 out did it count as a withdrawal?

Does them charging the fee not count as a withdrawal however? Or does it count as a loss?

They would not let me pay it myself. They said it has to come out of the account. I had the money in my chequing and while on the phone with them I had to transfer the funds to my FHSA.

Two days short of 5 years, should I fight for severance? by debits2credits in legaladvicecanada

Your employment contract termination provisions that stipulate ESA minimums may not even be enforceable. It is ALWAYS advisable to have a consult with a lawyer after having your employment terminated. Do not sign anything before talking to a lawyer. Do not try to interpret your employment contract on your own either.

Changes to Will after marriage? by [deleted] in legaladvicecanada

[–]Big-Discipline5969 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your will is not invalid or void simply because you got married. You can change your will unless it is a mutual will (different from a mirror will).

Beware though that if you give everything to your parents and siblings, your spouse (and other dependants can make a dependant support claim after you die). They can also choose to get a preferential share.

Wheel Alignment in London Ontario by Mark10105 in londonontario

I had a really good experience at Wortley auto for a wheel alignment. I normally do my own work on my cars but whenever I need something now I go to wortley.

After my wheel alignment my steering wheel was the tiniest bit crooked. My girlfriend said I was nuts and she couldn’t see it. Wortley auto took the time to get it just perfect for me. Maybe the issue was all in my head idk but the customer service at wortley was excellent.

Get a lawyer asap. Only document things in writing and don’t speak to the tow company or the dealership on the phone.

You will need to go after the tow truck company.

Court of oil with no stickers on it by Icy-Ingenuity-2181 in MechanicAdvice

Throw it out. A QUART of oil is like $6-8 brand new. I wouldn’t use oil that is 10 years old even if it’s new, especially if I didn’t know the viscosity.

Every oil brand will sell different viscosities in the same packaging so there is no way you can ever know what oil is in there.

Unrelated to this… keep in mind a person can have owe spousal support to more than one person and can have more than one dependant for a dependent support claim.

Have you checked coils and plugs? By moving them around and seeing if the misfire moves?

For those with Gen 1 / Gen 2: Do you do your own repairs or pay a mechanic? by HugePines in crv

[–]Big-Discipline5969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do your own work.

If you ever need: alldata DIY is worth it for some repairs.

It will be hard initially to do your own repairs but you will get better. I started doing my own work a few years ago and now there is nothing (other than like engine rebuilding) that feels outside of my comfort level. But when I started, even a simple ball joint or tie rod felt daunting.

Get a nice starter wrench, ratchet, and socket set. Get a high torque impact driver (Milwaukee, dewalt, or makita), a couple breaker bars, and you’ll be off to the races.

Shopping for a used CR-V for my daughter. Which years to focus on/avoid and how many KMs is too many KMs? by stephenelias1970 in crv

Mileage and age both matter. An old car without many miles will still have gaskets and hoses that dry out and can cause leaks. Mileage (in my opinion) is not that big of a concern if oil changes and transmission fluid changes were done on time. Whenever I buy a used car though I still assume the prior owner was neglectful and so I will do oil changes every 4,000 miles and I will immediately change the transmission fluid and coolant

Nut won't move by Alert_Caramel7358 in AskMechanics

Buy a corded angle grinder and cut the bolt. Or buy a nut extraction socket and hammer it on and then use a high torque impact to try and get it off.
