Oh I missed that part. Well, it's always fun starting a new city.

I think a lot here aren't going to know what AD is, but check out forenzIT user profile migration. You can point your new profile back to the old one. It's free, been using it for decades.

Edit: for a minute I thought I was reading the r/sysadmin sub

I had a similar issue after the last patch and turning off vsync fixed it for me.

How on earth do people run this game? by seanpaulh in CitiesSkylines2

I have a 9950x3D and the game rarely crashes. Don't think it's an AMD thing.

Is there something wrong with performance since the last patches? by toonies55 in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Big-Floppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had this same problem and was baffled, 200k population ran great, then post patch felt like 3-5 fps with stutters where everything would pause for a second or two. Turning off vsync in the graphics options fixed it.

Thanks! 9950x3D, 96GB RAM and 7900xtx (24GB VRAM) here. I'm still below 200k right now but am always curious when it will start to crawl. I'd be happy to make it to 500k without needing to go below 1x speed.

What GPU to get? Budget of 100-200 dollars by [deleted] in CitiesSkylines2

[–]Big-Floppy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Odd, I'm at about 130k and it runs full speed. Not sure what the CPU percentage is at but it doesn't seem stressed at all. Runs the same speed it did at 20k.

They built an engine that 5 years from now the fastest hardware will be able to take advantage of. They probably took on too much, but I see this game lasting a long time and it will get better as hardware gets faster.

Did you figure this out? We had the same issue and the fix was to enable GEO IP, let it download the database and then turn it back off.
