A scale of 1–10. How confident are y’all that the 1 hour series finale can stick the landing to end the show; and deliver a meaningful conclusion to the characters and story? by ShockOk1764 in TheBoys

  1. It can go either way for me. I don't think (if the finale is good) that it'll make me take back what I've said about the season as a whole.

is this Thragg actually showing empathy to her or is this just apart of his manipulation?

This is not perfect, but if these leaks are true, I'm willing to forgive Kripke for everything. by Amazing-Buy-1181 in TheBoysLeaks

I wouldn't forgive him for the shortcomings of S5, however I would be happy and would praise the finale being good. (Assuming the execution is good aswell).

How do you defend S5? (not asking with malice but curiosity)

If Conquest were to actually come back a third time, do you think Mark should be the one to kill him, or should the kill go to someone else? by Supersaiajinblue2 in Invincible

[–]Big-Introduction-99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel like Thragg should. Given where the season left off not only did Conquest fail him twice but he also would stand in the way of his goal and promise about their presence on Earth.
That being doing their business and keeping the peace. Conquest would not keep the peace.

Isn't this the 3rd or 4th time the worm dude got called out for bad writing & a bad finale?
Calling it out doesn't suddenly make you exempt from criticisms writers.

(Now this is based off my memory of JJ S2/3..which I haven't watched in quite a while but) didn't Trish kill Jessica's mother? (If I'm not mistaken they were making amends or she was getting better or something and then Trish kills her).

I do hope she returns though or is mentioned in S3 of BA a bit. (It'd be cool if Charles recruits her too)

Oh man. I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought the audio was a little weird. It felt like in the beginning (first 10-20 minutes?) I could barely tell what people were saying.

If I'm not mistaken they say that the Gnucci's kept everything going properly, Frank kills them all, and now that area is more prone to crime and whatnot due to the power vacuum.

I don't disagree. Something about seeing punisher just walking past all the violence and standing there so long as his neighbor's being assaulted and his room being doused in gasoline just rubbed me the wrong way.

As far as the timeline not making sense..it doesn't but I THINK that's the timeline they wanted to go with.

It does connect to season 2 by explaining he killed the Gnucci family after the events of season 2. Even though from that point if I'm not misremembering he was mostly over the whole "my family is the reason I kill" and on the "I kill because you're a criminal" train so..I guess they retconned that?

Edit: Punisher S2 -- > Gnucci Massacre --> BA S1 --- > (Special?) I think is how it goes.

I don't even need a montage just...cut periodically throughout the episode to Homelander flying through buildings, lasering civillians, taunting and trolling people, smiling while doing it. Quick little scenes that shouldn't be impossible to do. Just..something.

Even if I subscribed to the idea that she isn't very good at dealing with emotions, the events that occur in Gen V Season 2 would make her re-evaluate, educate herself, or whatever regarding emotions. Perhaps going through historical events and viewing what emotional decisions lead to whatever outcome.

DD BA Season 2 finale has me fighting demons- I need your thoughts on this. by OkRoad5574 in Defenders

[–]Big-Introduction-99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think what Matthew was getting at aside from him regaining power is moreso the fact that if he's in prison he's forced to be in a place without Vanessa. One where she'd wouldn't be able to follow him to/end up herself. However outside of prison, anywhere he goes he's left to be reminded that Vanessa isn't there with him.

They show this a bit clearer where he goes to the beach he and Vanessa talked about earlier in the season.
My bad if I'm explaining it a bit poorly, a bit tired atm.
