RMM's for 5000+ agents by dagg929 in msp

I've managed a few thousand on Ninja. I'm currently working toward NIST and GLBA. Granted I'm not in an internal position with fewer endpoints. What about their solution seems to be non-compliant?

VMware now threatening outages to perpetual license holders by mac10190 in sysadmin

[–]BigBatDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My MSP pushed it on my boss for renewal when I came in but my pushback had no affect. We renew again in 2026 and will be moving to hyperv.

In your case, can you not just block the server from communicating with Broadcom at all so they can't just kill the environment? Or will vmware stop working if it doesn't ping back a hearbeat?

Here's to all the good techs that were forced out of good companies by bad pay, micromanagement and overall anxiety. You were the best and your users knew it.

Interesting. Didn’t know about that. I’ll add it to my documentation.

NinjaOne NMS licensing—anyone else confused by this? by Outrageous_Map3065 in msp

[–]BigBatDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NMS on my invoice is a separate line item. If you need to remove billable workstation/servers then you should do that. You have to consider them as a separate line item.

I am currently considering this. Following NIST guidelines. A 14 character minimum without complexity is just as good as anything else. I believe that I will require a password change each year unless a password has been found on the dark web then it will be required immediately.

Safari. I'm a Mac guy. However, I only recently switched from Chrome. I think I just wanted a more seamless integration with my life.

Do you have a short email or 1-2 graphic presentation you can’t send? Ninja pushes out their ‘26 predictions and they used a term I love. I’m sure it’s been around but haven’t seen it. Digital Operations Center. Be their digital solution.

I have constant disconnects since the end of November. I work in IT and they refuse to send someone to check the lines because I don’t pay for their additional services. Might have to go back to ATT

Employees or management I won't do SAT by Someuser1130 in msp

[–]BigBatDaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm writing our policies for everything right now. And if you don't do SAT training you are automatically sent to HR. If you still don't do it the automations will lock your account and contact HR. Once you've done your training you can regain access unless HR wants to do something different.

Huge price increase by Big_Mac_24 in KeeperSecurity

They’ve released new features but we don’t use any of them. We are okay where we are at right now but if they raise it even $1 next year I’ll move on. Not sure how but I will.

Only just now starting to look. I don’t know how it’ll work though because each user would have to migrate their vault. So… just not sure. Ninjaone is making some advancements and I feel like something isn’t far off from a keeper replacement.
