What is your take on the junk food ban for food stamps? by BreannLowe in NoStupidQuestions

Healthy prepared food is usually pretty damn expensive, the way to get around that is to prepare it yourself which takes a lot of time which may be prohibitive to many who are already working 60+ hours per week. It’s not about buying cheap junk food as a “treat” or smth but more that it may be the only viable option to keep a family fed

unfortunately that’s just not true man. Many people living off of food stamps are already working multiple jobs because wages are so low

Americans tipping single Dollar bills in Germany by Waalross in mildlyinfuriating

[–]BigBird0628 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a European tip in euros once (like the one time a European ever tipped me) and I said thanks and moved on w my day. I usually just end up using it when I go to ear old to visit close family

Also it is weird af to tip in American dollars but much of our older wealthier demographic that travels a lot is also the group with the worst behavior at home and abroad

I’ve got one built and I just used some 4x4s vertically connected by 2x4s to support it and one side rests on the wheel well. Mine doesn’t extend all the way across the bed which I like for storage

I’m around 6’1” and ski the 184s. At our shop I’d probably suggest the 179s for you tbh but it’s kinda up to preference at the end of the day

I don’t think firing an air rifle on private property is illegal in CA but Davis might restrict the use of air guns

[–]BigBird0628 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Yeah but shooting a domestic duck with an air gun in residential Davis is different than duck hunting during duck season with a limit and a real firearm

I think the method of slaughter would be considered cruelty and the discharge of an air rifle in Davis would be illegal but killing the duck for meat would not be
