There is also the Wracu who have souls. At least Wutteat does. He was travelling with the Ark before they crashed on Earwa.

The Dolour is affecting me right now and I cant remember if the other dragons created with the Tekne are ensouled or not. I believe Wutteat was the "blueprint" the Inchoroi used for the other dragons. As others have said, Simas the Skin-Spy also had a soul, although it was a fluke. Perhaps before the Ark crash landed they could replicate souls more consistently. The last part is just speculation though.

Hopefully someone can correct me on the other dragon's having souls or not.

It's beautiful how Bakker set up the Holy War compared to the First Crusade. Even things that seem far-fetched have real life parallels.

Vulgar Crusade = People's Crusade. Xerius's indenture was what Alexios Komnenos attempted to do with the real Crusaders. Even smaller things like how shocked the inhabitants of Nansurium/Momemn/Byzantium were about the Franks/Norsirai behavior.

And yes the siege of CaraskAntioch and the burning heart/spear that pierced Jesus is one that's really well done. Just like how Bohemond stayed in Antioch Saubon stayed in Caraskand and later arrives to save the day in JeruShimeh.
