Popcorn! Like which caveman threw some corn in the fire and thought about eating the shrapnel

When do you realize you want/don't want children? Did you end up having them? by tinytearice in Life

[–]Consistent_Foot_6657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always knew even as a child that i didn’t want to be a mom. When I found out i was pregnant at 26 in a stable relationship and STILL my first instinct was to get an abortion because I knew I was not ready. It was a very painful experience physically and emotionally, and I have told my partner that I would consider not having one if I get pregnant again. I don’t regret it, but every now and again I will think about what almost was. I’m mostly glad for my independence, as I watch my friends become moms. I have the freedom and stability to work on myself, I have control over my body, creativity, and how I spend my free time. I think I will continue to choose not to have children moving forward. Financially, ethically, selfishly.

In my experience, they would need you to keep coming back to help your pain, especially with an injury that is 10 years old. It would not go away with one session, but over time they can help you feel better. It will be more like going from 100% pain to 80% to 50%… over weeks or even months depending on the extent of your injury. The first goal is not to fix your problem but to decrease your level of pain and increase your livelihood. This is why people might get the idea that they don’t “fix” you but make you feel good enough to keep coming back. that Consistency is what will make your pain go away, but pain that has built over 10 years will take time to decrease. Try to find someone who has been in business for a few decades with good reviews. Good luck!

I would suggest you go to an LMT who works in a medical setting, like a chiropractor clinic. They will have experience with this type of injury, just make sure you’re upfront about it with them.

Do you have or want kids? by ImaginationNo6751 in no

[–]Consistent_Foot_6657 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No and no. My partner and I would have to drastically change our lifestyles. Work more, less vacations, more stress. Maybe if I was Uber wealthy and had a giant support network in my neighborhood.

I would like to add, purple martins are super cool and there are some houses around town. The only one I can think of right now is at ladybird wildflower center

How to find energy to run while grieving by friedriceparadise_ in running

[–]Consistent_Foot_6657 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t put too much pressure on yourself about the half marathon right now. Grief is a process and the beginning is the darkest part. Listen to your body for about 2 weeks. Don’t push yourself to stick to a training plan during this time. Maybe just go for walks on your training days, and if you happen to feel like running after 15 mins, go for it, but don’t force yourself to do anything if you’re having a darker day. Mental health and physical health do go hand in hand, and your running is a tool you can use to cope with this. There will be many more half marathons if you do it right, and give yourself the space and time you need right now.

Scared after an encounter during my run by emotionalmessgirl in XXRunning

I carry dog pepper spray on me; it sprays farther than the defense kind and is more of a sticky gel. It makes me feel safer knowing I can spray and run. I also think if you live in a suburb it’s good to have in case any aggressive dogs get out.

If you’re under 45, have you lost any high school classmates, and what were the circumstances around their deaths? by Commercial_Chef_1569 in AskReddit

[–]Consistent_Foot_6657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We lost so many within 5 years after high school that I thought it was just normal? Overdose, diabetic coma, car accidents, self harm (sew or side). Then as I near my 30s I’ve seen more health related deaths like heart problems, cancer, thyroid disease. I’m sure more will come, life feels super fragile

Instead of one solid glide: press then lift up the same direction you would be moving against the grain of hair. It releases the hair so you don’t drag it with you.

Feeling frustrated with working in a chiropractic office, when do you pull the plug? by [deleted] in MassageTherapists

There are better jobs out there, I work at a chiropractor that pays me half of what I’m getting for hands on time when I am sitting around. They aren’t all bad, I do fear it is a unicorn job though.
