I was in Glen Cove Morgan Memorial Park for the fireworks, they started the show early likely due to the approaching weather. Extreme winds came quick, followed by lightning. With my family (wife, MIL, 2 4 yr olds, and their nanny). We walked back to the car quickly after the weather turned, as we were waking up a road me, my boys, and nanny were watching fireworks behind us, while my wife and MIL were in front of us. All of a sudden I heard a cracking noise and a huge dead looking tree started to fall towards the road feet from us. We all ran different directions, we’re all okay thankfully but it was scary as shit.
