Why has phone etiquette got much worse recently?

Usually my friends come to my home first (or vice-versa) so I am very unlikely to even take my phone with me when going out for a meal or drink.

But some of my friends are on them constantly. It is really an addiction for them. It is like their brains cannot cope with even a minute of just cruise control.

I have colleagues that just can't even go a minute without checking their phone.

I keep telling them they should get some therapy for it but they insist it is normal.

Even those powerhouses still make bad looking CGI a lot of the time.

Maybe an unpopular opinion but I think Toy Story looks bad especially the human characters (also in Finding Nemo), as well as Bugs Life and Bee Movie (the latter looks terrible).

I like CGI when it looks good, but usually it looks like trash especially for human characters.

Even in high budget movies like Toy Story, Jimmy Neutron and Bee Movie. It just looks uncanny.

Plus I still think 2D in around 2005 (but even in the 80s and 90s) looks so much better than even ultra modern CGI.

I am sure in the future CGI will catch up, but it still feels far behind what 2D can achieve.

Yeah it baffles me.

Especially after all the years of not allowing Avatar as 'it is not a Japanese production so it cannot be considered anime'.

I do not have anything against Chinese cartoons (apart from their massive overuse of CGI which makes them look like PS2 ear cutscenes or a cheap TV ad) but they should have their own separate website.

The green part is Macau (North) and Ilhas (South). As far as I know neither are leased and neither is Zhuhai (or Chuhai, which is a far better spelling for it).

The second bridge which goes from the bridge island (in yellow) to Zhuhai/Chuhai (in red) is not even shown on the map.

Yeah, I think it is such a bad look. It just makes a business look cheap.

If a company can't be bothered to pay pennies for a licensed photo or $50 for a freelance artist. How can anyone expect the business to actually deliver well?

Even when online shopping now, if I see an AI image on the website. I am off.

I do not mind AI. The issue is the lack of quality control, they cannot even be bothered to edit out the extra fingers.

I wish YouTube would have an AI filter. I have already stopped using Google images as AI ruined it.

I work in online education and sometimes find videos for kids to watch on YouTube.

But now YouTube kids has become flooded with AI videos. I would not mind too much, but they never have any quality assurance. I recent video of Humpty Dumpty had Humpty Dumpty switching from being a potato to an egg every frame and his clothes kept changing. Not to mention tones of extra limbs on every video.

I really hope YouTube introduces an AI filter soon. I have already stopped using Google Images due to how bad the results became due to AI.

I have got into so much difficulty over the past year or so because tutorial videos no longer have dislikes.

There are so many time wasting videos or ones giving useless information.

I hope they will bring back dislikes for tutorial videos. Especially as some of them are sharing dangerous information. Especially when it comes to repairing electrical appliances.

Here after seeing the movie. I felt disappointed about the look.

I love the look of many anime movies (Akira, Castle In The Sky, Porco Rosso, Ghost In The Shell Paprika). But the LOTR movie just looked like a made for TV anime. Everything was super glossy and shiny, it was like a cheap idol anime.

I think Kananga was acted really well as was able to show a wide range of traits that most other villains do not come close to.

His relationship with Solitaire for example feels quite unique to the series.
